HOA Law Nerds, The Podcast

As a relatively new member of my POA board, I have a lot to learn, and these guys have taught me so much . What I appreciate is the very specific examples they talk about, which I feel that most law firms in their newsletters never touch. They also make it funny. I only wish they produced more episodes on a more regular cadence. I have so many topics that I’d love them to talk about. HOA involvement in social media, the topic of illegal side meetings by board members and how that might relate to meeting efficiency, and the use of collaboration and productivity tools like Slack. Good governance practices. How authoritarian versus democratic a president should be and how to deal with being on a board with one or the other. What is an isn’t appropriate for newsletters for the community? How you should and shouldn’t use or when and how to engage, the law firm that supports your association. When why and how to update your governing documents. And maybe some episodes on finance topics like reserve analysis and special assessments.

Perfection is a word I never use but this podcast is pure perfection. The sharp legal wit of the hosts is evident from the first word. The podcast is delight for the ears, a pleasure for the mind, and (dare I say) a necessity for the soul.
