BACK TO BASICS: Why Routine Is Your Most Powerful Daily Performance Tool

Lindsey dives into one of the most frequently asked topics from clients and workshop attendees alike: why routine matters — not just for productivity, but for your physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and financial wellbeing. Here are the key takeaways: Your nervous system craves predictability. When your body knows what's coming, it conserves energy. A consistent morning routine — same breakfast, same breathing practice, same structure — literally calms your nervous system and sharpens your focus. Routine doesn't mean boring. You have 24 hours. Structure one of them really well, plan your work around it, and leave room for spontaneous, intentional enjoyment. That's not rigidity — that's freedom with a foundation. Elite performers use routine to save energy. Pre-performance rituals aren't superstition; they're neuroscience. Automating the small stuff frees up mental bandwidth for what matters most. Habits live in the subconscious. Once a routine becomes a habit, you do it automatically — which is powerful for healthy behaviours, and a warning sign for unhealthy ones. Stay conscious and keep choosing well. The six pillars of energy — physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, relational, and financial — all benefit from structure. If you're scoring low in one area, your routine might be the first place to look. This week's challenge: Pick one thing you can do at the same time every day this week — a breakfast, a breathing exercise, a moment of prayer or journaling. Notice how your nervous system responds. https://www.lindseyfrances.co.uk/ Lindsey Frances LinkedIn: uk.linkedin.com/in/lindseyfrances Lindsey Frances Facebook: www.facebook.com/lyndzy.frances Lindsey Frances Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/lindseyfrancescoach/ Lindsey Frances Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/richsimplehuman/ Lindsey Frances Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@richsimplehuman

Diana Oehrli: Nobody Prepares You For Inherited Wealth. What Should We Leave To The NextGen?

Radical Stewardship, Family Foundations and Human Suffering Money Cannot Fix What happens when the money arrives but the meaning doesn't? In this deeply honest and wide-ranging conversation, Lindsey Frances welcomes Diana Oehrli — author, podcast host, Mayo Clinic trained and ICF certified coach — to unpack one of the most under-discussed topics in the world of ultra-high-net-worth families: the invisible pressure of inherited wealth, the silence around money that crosses cultures and generations, and why radical stewardship may be the most important concept nobody in the wealth space is talking about. Diana grew up between two worlds — a blue collar Swiss mountain guide father and a Brahmin intellectual mother from Boston — navigating the silence around money that both Swiss and New England cultures share. From Monte Carlo to Newport's Mansion Row, from Gstaad to Costa Rica, Diana's life has been anything but ordinary. And yet the pressures she faced were profoundly, universally human. This episode is essential listening for anyone navigating inherited wealth, running a family foundation, searching for purpose beyond the balance sheet, or simply wondering why money never quite fills the hole it promised to fill. ABOUT DIANA OEHRLI Diana Oehrli is an author, podcast host, Mayo Clinic trained health and wellness coach and ICF certified professional coach with over twenty years of experience working with ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families. She is the founder of the Grubin Charitable Foundation, a grant-making trust focused on environmental protection and mental health in Newport, Rhode Island. Diana is the host of The Pressure of Privilege podcast and is currently writing her book Radical Stewardship. She splits her time between Switzerland and Costa Rica. Diana's work sits at the intersection of wealth, emotional sobriety, pro-social behaviour, philanthropy and the meaning beyond money. She specialises in working with successful people who have every strategy they need but are searching for someone who truly understands them.
