    Episode 217 : He Quit Amazon for This Live Selling Platform (Whatnot)

    I've been selling on Amazon since 2015, and one platform I keep seeing sellers add on is Whatnot, a live auction platform where you sell to customers in real time. I sat down with Vernon Johns, a member of my Legends community, who went from a 50k to 70K a month Amazon business to going all in on Whatnot with his family. We get into the honest pros and cons of Whatnot vs Amazon: the cash flow cycle (Vernon gets paid in 3 to 4 days instead of Amazon's 60 to 90), no brand restrictions, what live selling actually takes, how he sources without Keepa-style data, and the real work behind fulfillment when you don't have FBA.     Episode 215: Amazon Just Changed the Insurance Rules for EVERY Seller

    Amazon just announced a major change to its commercial liability insurance requirements for sellers, and it takes effect November 2nd, 2026. In the past you could wait to get insurance until you hit $10,000 in sales in a month. Under the new rule, if you sell products in certain enhanced-safety categories, you'll need coverage regardless of your sales volume, even on day one, even on $1 of sales.
