    Small Steps - Journalling

JournallingSometimes the most honest conversations we have are the ones we have with ourselves ✨ In this episode, we explore the power of journalling and why putting your thoughts onto paper can be one of the simplest but most effective tools for improving your mental and emotional wellbeing. We talk about how journalling can help you process emotions, reduce overwhelm, notice patterns, gain clarity and reconnect with yourself in the middle of busy everyday life. Whether it’s writing down worries, gratitude, goals, thoughts or tiny wins, journalling creates space to pause, reflect and understand what’s really going on beneath the surface. And the best part? There’s no right or wrong way to do it 💛 This episode is a reminder that you don’t need perfect words, a fancy notebook or hours of spare time — sometimes a few honest sentences can change the way you feel. 🎙️ Loved This Episode? Real Women Real Stories - From Desk Job to Dream Job

From Desk Job to Dream Job - Following your heart with Katie Galimore What happens when the career you've spent 20 years building no longer feels like the life you want to live? This week we're joined by Katie Galimore, whose inspiring story proves it's never too late to listen to your heart and choose a different path. After two decades working in graphic design, Katie successfully balanced office life, working from home and raising her family. But when the COVID-19 pandemic arrived, everything changed. Working from home full-time left her feeling disconnected, with very little interaction with other people, and she realised something important was missing. Looking for a new challenge, Katie discovered open water swimming. What started as a new hobby quickly became a passion. More importantly, she found a community of supportive, like-minded people who encouraged and inspired one another. Her love of the sport led her to train as an open water lifeguard, where she discovered just how much she enjoyed helping others build confidence and begin their own swimming journeys. But Katie didn't stop there. Choosing fulfilment over familiarity, she made the courageous decision to leave her desk job behind and retrain as a sports massage therapist—building a career centred around people, wellbeing and meaningful connection. Alongside her career change, Katie shares her ongoing journey of personal growth, learning to let go of people pleasing, setting healthy boundaries and discovering that saying "no" to others often means saying "yes" to yourself. In this episode we discuss:Why external success doesn't always equal internal fulfilment. How COVID prompted Katie to rethink her career and lifestyle. The unexpected impact of discovering open water swimming.Finding your tribe through shared passions and supportive communities. Why helping others became Katie's greatest source of purpose.Leaving a secure career to pursue work that feels meaningful.Training as a sports massage therapist and starting a new chapter. The importance of surrounding yourself with like-minded people.Overcoming people-pleasing habits by setting small, manageable boundaries.Learning to trust your instincts when making life's biggest decisions.Katie's 1% Tip"Follow your heart. Trust your gut. All of the answers are already within us." Sometimes the bravest thing we can do isn't finding the answers somewhere else—it's learning to trust the quiet voice that's been there all along. 🎙️ Loved This Episode? If Katie's story inspired you, we'd love you to subscribe, leave us a review and share this episode with someone who might be standing at a crossroads in their own life.
