A SPOILER-AGNOSTIC PODCAST FOR TWIN PEAKS NEWCOMERS AND EXPERTS ALIKE! Did you know that you love David Lynch's masterpiece television show Twin Peaks, even if you haven't seen it? Shy Fox did, for decades. Over the course of 30 years, this Z-list podcaster heard his favorite video games, movies, and television shows constantly compared to this groundbreaking TV phenomenon, and was always intrigued. Then in 2024 he finally watched the show for the first time, finishing its final season just in time to join the world in mourning Lynch's January 2025 passing. Now he is on a quest to both discover and revisit the HUNDREDS of pieces of pop-culture that have been unfathomably changed by the far-reaching influence of Twin Peaks and its creators, so he can help other newcomers discover what makes it special. He will be guided through this saga by special appearances from Paramount's Own "Jonathan Off Road Rules" of MTV fame, who is a lifelong Lynchian expert and theorist. Each episode will also feature a special SUPERSTAR GUEST from the podcasting, comedy, entertainment, and video game industries. In this subseries, the FYHOD! gang goes back in time, to look at works that influenced David Lynch, before he transformed pop-culture with Twin Peaks. It's back to the unfathomable depths of the Ingmar Bergman well, with his follow-up to Persona (1968) known as Hour of the Wolf. This soul-searingly semiautobiographical, misunderstood masterpiece chronicles the struggle of a retired artist against his repressed demons. Along the way Fox, Marcy, and Laura learn all about the vampiric thrall of The Hat Woman, the questionable morality of murdering ankle-biting boys, and how these forces combined might just ruin ones island getaway with even the most impossibly-compassionate pregnant wife.
