    It's a Friendship-themed Mashup... we revisit a couple of the Mums' favourite podcasts: the Golden Girls& The 3 Pillars of Friendship Theory!

    In this special podcast, we revisit two of the Mums' favourite friendship-themed podcasts.... one on the Golden Girls, and one on the 3 Pillars of Friendship Theory! The Golden Girls premiered on September 14, 1985 - a monumental 40 years ago - and we still love it!  It was groundbreaking because it centered on four women over 50 at a time when Hollywood heavily favored youth. It proved that stories about aging women were hilarious, relevant, and wildly successful (winning 11 Emmy Awards).  Join Lissy, Anke, Rebecca, Tammy and Heather as they chat about how friends make our lives better - even allowing us to live longer! Strong female friendships are a powerful protective factor against anxiety, depression, and cognitive decline.  Did you know that research shows social engagement in midlife significantly reduces the risk of dementia by 38%?  Also, there are longevity studies that show that having a strong social network reduces the risk of death by 60% over nine years!  Frequent visits with friends are related to a lower subjective age (feeling younger than you are) which contributes to greater life satisfaction... cheers to that!     The Scottish Podcast Awards, End-of-School-Year Madness...and Advice for a Mum trying to stop a Holiday Nightmare!

    It's the end of the school year.. whether the Mums are ready or not!  The kids are out, the plans are being made, and the Mums have recovered from the Scottish Podcast Awards hangover.     End of Term Sprint, Podcast Awards Excitement & The Playhouse turned Powerhouse

    It's nearly the end of the school year, and the Mums are back to chat about the end of the year chaos... the sprint to the end of the year activities, the stress about the summer plans, and the mental load... after a quick recap by Heather and Lissy on the fabulous Edinburgh Pride event over the weekend.  Heather & Lissy were out giving Mum Hugs.. and had an absolutely wonderful time at the magical event which took place on the Royal Mile and Bristo Square. The Scottish Podcast Awards are coming up, and the Mums are getting ready, having been nominated for Best Comedy Podcast and Best Sex, Relationships & Family Podcast.  Find out what the Mums are thinking, planning, and wearing to attend the event in Glasgow!     The World Cup, The Tartan Army in Boston & prep for the Scottish Podcast Awards Gala Glitz

    After a special shoutout to The Edinburgh Minute after the Mums made the coveted Top 4 spot in last week’s Culture Minute, the Mums are catching up on the excitement around Scotland's performance in the World Cup!  The Mums are tracking the Tartan Army across the Atlantic as Scotland finally makes its historic return to the World Cup stage out in Boston.  All the news is abuzz with the impact that the Scots are having on the United States... people are reporting how they have never had so much fun before and the Mums are here for it!     The Summer Scramble: Surviving Camp Chaos & pre-Holiday Stress

    The Mums are back to chat about the looming reality check... the summer hols are coming soon, and plans need to be made!  Before diving into the main topic, the Mums catch up on the events over the weekend: the Corstorphine Fair, and the Everywoman Festival - where the Mums giving out flyers for The Edinburgh Society of Unapologetically Imperfect Mothers LIVE Fringe Show chatted with loads of lovely people!  Heather also chats about the experience of writing a Comedy Sketch for the first time (with the expert coaching of the legendary comedian Viv Gee)... it's a big deal for the Mums to have the creative license and opportunities presented by the Just the Tonic Fringe Show!  The Mums just hope you book your tickets to see it! Moving on, the Mums dive into the pre-Summer Holiday tension... everything from the Hunger Games of scheduling camps, The Tetris Schedule, and the Financial Hit... essentially a second mortgage just to ensure the kids don’t spend July staring at an iPad screen. The Mums chat about the new  EU border regulation's and biometrics circus involved when travelling with kids abroad, before moving on to the World Cup!  Everyone is excited about Scotland qualifying for the first time in 28 years... but what's worse?  Frantically sweating over airport queues or camp sign-ups, OR dealing with husbands covered in face paint, yelling at screens?     Petty to the Grave: When Revenge Goes Sky-High

    The ladies of the Edinburgh Society of Unapologetically Imperfect Mothers are back for this hilarious (and slightly terrifying)  journey through three entirely true, documented acts of unprecedented pettiness. The Big Question is where is the line between a harmless prank and a life-ruining act of vengeance? After a quick chat and discussion about what the Mums got up to over the weekend, Lissy, Kim, Tammy, Rebecca, Heather and Liz discuss what happened between two sisters in Boca Raton, Florida, after the bride-to-be chooses her college roommate over her sister to be the Maid of Honor.  Find out what the Mums make of this story of sisterly revenge and the fall out. Next the Mums move to a story of revenge which took place between neighbours in Wales where a toxic neighborhood dispute over a highly coveted, public street- parking spot and the moving of wheelie bins.
