    Canonically Speaking with....Dr Eugene Gan

Join Canonically Speaking host Fr Paul Hayward as he speaks with Dr Eugene Gan. Dr Gan is Professor of Interactive Media, Communications, and Fine Art at Franciscan University of Steubenville. An expert in digital media, technology, and communications, he has spent many years helping students, educators, and families understand the opportunities and challenges presented by new technologies. Drawing on his experience as an academic, artist, media producer, and author of Infinite Bandwidth: Encountering Christ in the Media, in this episode he offers an accessible introduction to artificial intelligence, explaining what AI is, and what it is not. The conversation explores the relationship between technology and human intelligence, the benefits and risks of AI, and the principles that should guide its ethical use.
