    Anomalisa/What Happened Was..

Join us as we talk about lonely people trying desperately to connect and how remarkably compelling that can be, if also sad! In addition Bethany would like to take this opportunity to note that in the what we've been watching when Joel mentioned Charles Melton and they cheerfully said "Riverside Hive!" instead of Riverdale Hive, a shame that they will presumably never live down. However, they've left it in for you anyway.  Find us on Letterboxd at BethanySparkle and admiralobvious Music From –  Bojack Horseman soundtrack – “I Will Always Think of You”Anomalisa soundtrack - "Cincinnati Sunrise"Til Tuesday - "Voices Carry"  Bethany’s MediaMovies: Romeria available in theatersSend Help available on HuluBram Stoker’s Dracula available for rentalDracula 2000 available for rentalCookie available for rentalHadestown: The Musical Live available in theatersThe Sheep Detectives available on Amazon PrimePaddington available for rentalThe Odyssey available in theatersI Want Your Sex available in theatersWe’re All Going to the World Fair available on CriterionResident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City available on HuluThe Court Jester available for rental TV:  30 Rock available on HuluHouse of the Dragon available on HBOBridgerton available on Netflix Joel’s MediaMovies:  Abbot and Costello Meet the Mummy available for rentalMoana available on Disney+Akelarre not availableHer Private Hell available in theatersBakeneko not available TV:  The Bear available on HuluKing of the Hill available on HuluTaskmaster Australia available on YouTube Next EpisodeReservoir Dogs from JoelandKing of New York from Bethany

    A Knight's Tale/The Court Jester

Come with us on a rollicking good time in some very silly depictions of medieval times! We discuss the absolutely undeniableness of Heath Ledger, as well as the Vessel with the Pestle and the Chalice from the Palace! We had a great time and recommend these both! Join us as we discuss two movies about actors in a sort of weird place in their lives and careers, both of whom have some surprising but deeply meaningful encounters. Toy Story Episode

Join us on a journey through (most of) the Toy Story universe. We discuss some of the truly existentially horrifying implications of parts of this world, how Woody is maybe actually a terrible father figure, and whether or not we had a favorite toy. But mostly we talk about how surprisingly enjoyable all of these movies are, in spite of there being 5 of them!  Find us on Letterboxd at BethanySparkle and admiralobvious Music From –  Bojack Horseman soundtrack – “I Will Always Think of You”Randy Newman - "You've Got a Friend in Me"Toy Story 2 soundtrack - "When She Loved Me" Joel’s Media Movies:  Raiders of the Lost Ark available on Disney+Adolescence of Utena available for rentalThe Big Sleep (1978) available on Amazon Prime TV:  Widow’s Bay available on AppleThe Bear available on HuluTaskmaster available on YouTube Bethany’s Media Movies:  The Meetings of Ana available on CriterionResident Evil: Afterlife available for rentalGet Rich or Die Tryin’ available on Paramount+Leviticus not currently availableRomancing the Stone available for rentalGirls Like Girls available for rentalStop! Henry Gamble's Birthday Party/Prick Up Your Ears

Join Joel and Bethany down yet another religious trauma rabbit hole as we talk about one of the best movies about evangelicalism we've ever seen - Stephen Cone's Henry Gamble's Birthday Party. We then continue down the path of movies about gay young men with Prick Up Your Ears.
