    The reality TV crew has moved in and they’re ready to film Marjorie’s exorcism — and the days leading up to it. But is Marjorie really possessed? She pulls Merry aside and tells her she’s been faking it. It’s their dad who needs help — she just wants to expose him and get the family back on their feet after months of financial struggles. Merry isn’t entirely sure she believes her — but decides to double down on Marjorie’s lie anyway. The problem? Marjorie is still acting deeply unsettling, and she’s been in Merry’s room again, doing more unsettling and curious things. This week we do a deep dive into real exorcism cases, what the Catholic Church actually requires before approving one, and what modern science says about the cases where exorcisms seemingly worked. Possession or psychology — the answer is messier than you’d think. And with the human brain still so poorly understood, who’s to say what we’re truly capable of?
