P*rn, Power & Perception: Censorship, Double Standards & the Fight to Be Heard feat. Ryan Keely

What happens when SW collides with censorship, financial restrictions, and deeply rooted social stigma? In this compelling episode of LoveLustLaw, attorney Michele Locke sits down with media personality, writer, and adult performer Ryan Keely for a candid conversation about the realities of working in today’s adult industry, and the systems that continue to shape who gets heard, paid, and protected. Ryan reflects on her evolution in the industry, from the pre-social-media era to today’s highly regulated digital landscape, where platform restrictions, payment policies, and censorship can make earning a living increasingly difficult. Together, Michele and Ryan unpack the double standards faced by SWers and question why adult creators are often denied opportunities routinely available to other online creators. The conversation also examines the growing influence of financial institutions and policies that restrict adult content, the unintended consequences of censorship, and the ways these measures can push SWers into more vulnerable circumstances. Beyond the industry itself, Michele and Ryan challenge common assumptions about pornography and relationships, including the notion that consuming p*rn*graphy is inherently a form of infidelity, a particularly consequential issue in high-conflict divorces and family law disputes. **DISCLAIMER** The information shared in this podcast is intended for entertainment purposes only. When Dating Hurts: Dating Violence, Coercive Control & Relationship Red Flags | Bill Mitchell

How can we recognize the warning signs of dating violence, coercive control, emotional abuse, and dangerous relationship patterns before it’s too late? In this powerful episode of lovelustlaw, Michele Locke sits down with Bill Mitchell, author and host of the When Dating Hurts podcast, to explore the hidden realities of intimate partner violence and the warning signs that are often missed. Bill’s mission began after the devastating murder of his 21-year-old daughter, Kristin, who was killed by her boyfriend in 2005 shortly after graduating from college. Bill shares Kristin’s story, the impact of her killer’s ongoing parole hearings on their family, and how unimaginable loss became a mission to educate others about dating violence and relationship abuse. They discuss why abuse is hidden behind shame, isolation, and the appearance of a loving relationship and why there doesn’t have to be bruises for abuse to occur. The conversation also explores relationship red flags, emotional abuse, strangulation, digital stalking, evidence collection, self-esteem and vulnerability, safely leaving an abusive relationship, healthy boundaries, and how parents can talk to their children about dating violence. Bill outlines a common five-step “template” of abuse - fairy tale romance, isolation, threats, violence, and a convincing apology - repeating in cycles. They also discuss why victims may minimize what happened, why leaving an abusive relationship can be complicated and dangerous, and how friends, family members, educators, and communities can provide support without judgment. Most importantly, this episode is about prevention: teaching young people what healthy relationships look like, recognizing red flags early, and knowing when control has crossed the line into abuse. In This Episode:— How dating violence and coercive control can begin— The hidden warning signs of abusive relationships— The five-step cycle of abuse— Why emotional abuse can be just as traumatic as physical violence— Isolation, shame, threats, and manipulation— Strangulation and other serious warning signs— Digital stalking and documenting evidence— How predators use reward-and-punishment tactics— Why self-esteem can affect vulnerability to abuse— How to safely leave a dangerous relationship— How parents can talk with kids about healthy relationships— Why victims need patience and nonjudgmental support— Men as victims of intimate partner violence— Teaching boundaries and relationship skills early— Resources for people experiencing domestic or dating violence **DISCLAIMER** The information shared in this podcast is intended for entertainment purposes only. Why Stalking Victims Struggle to Get Justice feat. Anna Nasset

How do you rebuild your life when a stalker is determined to destroy it? Michele Locke is joined by Stalking survivor, author, and advocate Anna Nasset who shares the terrifying reality of being stalked for years after opening an art gallery. What began as persistent emails and unwanted contact quickly escalated into threats, cyberstalking, and years of fear that ultimately forced her to close her business, leave her home, and rebuild her life across the country. Against overwhelming odds, Anna helped achieve one of the rarest outcomes in stalking prosecutions. After years of documenting evidence and working with prosecutors, her stalker was convicted of aggravated felony stalking and felony cyberstalking in a landmark case. She also recounts the extraordinary experience of being cross-examined in court by the man who stalked her. But this episode goes far beyond one survivor's story. Anna explains why stalking remains one of the most misunderstood crimes, why victims often struggle to get protection, and how technology has made stalking easier than ever. She discusses safety planning, digital privacy, trauma, dating after abuse, and the lasting emotional, financial, and professional impact stalking has on survivors. She also shares how her experience inspired a new mission: training law enforcement, prosecutors, victim advocates, and organizations to better recognize stalking behaviors and protect victims before violence escalates. Guest: Anna Nassett, Author of Now I Speak, international stalking expert, survivor advocate, trainer, and speaker. **DISCLAIMER** The information shared in this podcast is intended for entertainment purposes only. Christopher Titus on a 12-Year Divorce Battle, Family Court Chaos, and How Comedy Saved Him

Content/Trigger Warning: This episode contains discussions of murder, and attempted murder, suicide and suicide attempts, domestic violence and domestic violence allegations, child abuse and child abuse allegations, pet abuse and animal death. Listener discretion is advised. Comedian Christopher Titus joins attorney and former family court judge Michele Locke for a candid conversation about the painful 12-year divorce battle that reshaped his life. After discovering his wife was sleeping with two other men and had stolen hundreds of thousands of dollars, Titus filed for divorce on 6/6/06, setting off more than a decade of courtroom battles, 108 court appearances, false abuse allegations, costly forensic accounting, and frustration with attorneys who failed to present critical evidence.  He also opens up about the emotional toll of the ordeal, including experiencing suicidal thoughts while on tour and being removed from his own home. Titus shares how his now wife, Rachel, became an unwavering source of support, helping reverse a ruling that once required him to pay his ex, into one that ultimately required his ex to pay him. He also explains the Richmond order that finally brought his alimony obligations to an end. Drawing on her experience overseeing CPS and protective-order cases, Locke offers practical insight into how family courts evaluate evidence, issue temporary orders, and navigate parenting disputes. Together, they discuss the importance of playing the long game for the sake of children, the value of settlement when possible, and the lasting harm caused by turning kids against a parent. The conversation also explores how comedy helped Titus transform trauma into connection, and why honesty and authenticity remain at the heart of both great storytelling and healing. **DISCLAIMER** The information shared in this podcast is intended for entertainment purposes only.
