What's the Spiritual Root of TCM Cupping and Should Christians Do It?

Is TCM cupping just a physical wellness treatment or is there a deeper worldview behind it?Cupping has become increasingly popular for pain relief, inflammation, circulation, and “detoxing.” But Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) also incorporates concepts like qi, yin and yang, and energetic balance. So how should Christians think about it?In this episode of Living Free in Truth, we examine what cupping actually is, where it fits within TCM, what the research says, and why the worldview behind a practice matters. We’ll also look at the difference between a physical technique and the spiritual or philosophical beliefs sometimes attached to it.The goal isn't fear or paranoia. It's biblical discernment.“Test everything; hold fast what is good.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:21If you've participated in cupping, acupuncture, energy healing, or other alternative practices, don't panic. Learn what these practices actually teach, bring it before God, and walk forward in truth and freedom.Living Free in Truth explores how biblical truth applies to modern culture and how Christians can recognize deception without living in fear.00:00 What Is Cupping?01:06 The History of Cupping02:08 What Does TCM Teach?03:18 Where Does Cupping Fit Into TCM?04:30 Does the Science Prove Cupping Works?06:00 Why Christians Should Care About Worldview07:15 Is Cupping Actually Occult?08:25 “What If I Only Do the Physical Part?”09:35 What About “Natural” Healing?10:30 Where Should Our Trust Be?11:40 Should Christians Get TCM Cupping?12:25 Walking in Truth, Not Fear🤝Connect 🤝with Living Free in TruthFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/livingfreeintruthInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/livingfreeintruthTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@livingfreeintruth

The Culture War Is Really a Battle Over Truth, Identity & Life

The culture wars are about more than politics. Behind debates about LGBTQ+ issues, same-sex marriage, abortion, gender ideology, family, and religious freedom is a deeper question: Who gets to define truth? In this episode of Living Free in Truth, we examine the worldview shaping modern culture—postmodernism—and contrast it with the biblical worldview. What happens when identity is based on feelings rather than God's design? What happens when truth becomes subjective? And how should Christians respond to a divided culture without compromising biblical truth or failing to love people well? The answer is not outrage, fear, or political arguments alone. As Christians, we are called to stand firmly on truth while loving people deeply. We are called to protect life, care for those who are hurting, disciple others, pray, and point people back to the only true source of identity, purpose, and freedom: Jesus Christ. In this episode, we discuss: The worldview behind today's culture wars Postmodernism and the rejection of absolute truth Identity, gender, sexuality, and God's design Abortion and the value of human life Why debates about marriage and morality are so polarizing Biblical truth vs. “your truth” How Christians can love without compromising truth Why prayer and spiritual discernment matter in cultural battles How to be a light in a divided world The culture war is ultimately a battle over truth, identity, life, and authority. But Christ is still King. 📖 Scriptures referenced: Genesis 1, Romans 1, Ephesians 6, Psalm 139, Matthew 10, Matthew 22, 1 John 4 If this episode encouraged or challenged you, share it with someone who needs to hear it. Biblical Boundaries: How to Love Without People-Pleasing

Have you ever felt guilty for saying no? Maybe you've wondered: If I really loved them, shouldn't I always be available? Am I being selfish for setting a boundary? Does forgiveness mean I have to keep allowing someone to hurt me? Does honoring my parents mean they always get access to my life? Does being a good Christian mean I can't disappoint anyone? Many Christians struggle with boundaries because they swing between two extremes: people-pleasing with no boundaries or building walls and cutting people off. But biblical boundaries offer a different way. In this episode, we explore how Jesus modeled love without people-pleasing, compassion without taking responsibility for everyone, forgiveness without ignoring wisdom, truth without cruelty, and rest without guilt. We look at biblical boundaries in: Family relationships Friendships Marriage The workplace Parenting Church and ministry Our relationship with God The goal of boundaries is not to keep everyone out or protect ourselves from every uncomfortable experience. The goal is to love people well with a free heart and without resentment. Jesus was the most loving person who ever lived, but He had clear limits. He withdrew to pray. He said no. He did not answer every accusation. He disappointed people's expectations. He did not allow other people's needs to determine His assignment. So the question isn't simply, “Do I have boundaries or do I love people?” The better question is: Are my boundaries helping me love God and people more faithfully? 📖 “Let your ‘Yes’ be yes, and your ‘No,’ no.” — Matthew 5:37 📖 “Faithful are the wounds of a friend.” — Proverbs 27:6 📖 “Speak the truth in love.” — Ephesians 4:15 What boundary have you struggled to set because you were afraid of disappointing someone? Biblical Meditation vs. New Age Meditation: What's the Difference?

Is meditation biblical? Many people today meditate by emptying their minds, repeating mantras, connecting with “the universe,” awakening their “higher self,” or looking within themselves for truth. But the Bible also talks about meditation, so what is the difference? In this episode, we compare biblical meditation and New Age meditation and explore the foundational question: What are you meditating on, and where are you looking for truth? New Age spirituality often turns inward to find identity, power, truth, and enlightenment. Biblical meditation turns our attention toward God, His Word, His character, and His truth. We'll look at: What meditation actually means The origins and themes of New Age meditation Why emptying your mind is different from renewing your mind The difference between “the universe” and the God of the Bible Why Christians are not God—and why that matters How Scripture teaches us to meditate What Psalm 1, Joshua 1, Philippians 4, and Romans 12 teach us How biblical meditation can become a lifestyle of remaining aware of God throughout the day The question isn't whether you will meditate. The question is what you will meditate on. 📖 “Blessed is the one... whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night.” — Psalm 1:1–2 Have you ever practiced New Age meditation—or struggled to understand what biblical meditation actually looks like?
