    33. Restless and guilty

We had hoped to have this go out the Friday before Halloween, but due to some tech issues and Dusty’s bonkers schedule… it did not. But it’s up now! And this conversation is just as relevant today as it was on Friday and as it will be in 5, 10, and 100 years from now. Christina and I (Dusty) chat about the importance of sleep and how it impacts literally every aspect of our lives. We talk about the importance of true self-care as separate from a self-centered, all-too-apathetic world. But most of our conversation speaks to the sovereign, mighty power of the Holy Spirit and just how active and alive and powerful He is today, and every day. We hope this candid chat encourages you!!!! I know it did for me. 29. On Bible avoidance and being deliciously academic (rebroadcast)

This is an episode we shared over a year ago, and it’s one of our most popular episodes. We’re sharing some community and personal favorite episodes for the next couple of weeks so we can get back into a good recording routine. Enjoy! → scroll for the chapter breakdown + links We meant to come back with a plan… but instead you’re getting a very on-brand mix of theology, life updates, Oxford ramblings, sick kids, delayed dreams, and a surprisingly deep dive into how to read the Bible. Also: Dusty is writing a book, Christina is becoming deliciously academic, and neither of us fully knows what we’re doing. But we’re trusting God anyway! 28. How God gave us each other's dreams (rebroadcast)

We have both always wanted to go to Bible college. Aaaaand we’ve both always wanted to write books. But Dusty was the one constantly pursuing Biblical training, and Christina was the one who got an MA in Creative Writing. We for sure thought Dusty would go to Bible college first and that Christina would be the first one to get a literary agent. But that’s not how it happened. Within weeks of each other, Christina realised that God was calling her back to university — specifically seminary at Oxford. And around that same time, Dusty got approached by a literary agent and asked whether she wanted to write a book. Needless to say, we both have a LOT of thoughts about that. And in this episode, we unpack a few of them, like… * Trusting God’s timing. * Navigating jealousy while ALSO being happy for your friend. * Making sense of why God does things differently than we might expect. This was a wild one, guys. We hope you enjoy the ride. 27. Dusty talks sales. Christina talks storytelling.

PHEW. It’s been a minute! We both had a crazy August and (unexpectedly) took a little podcasting break. But we’re back! …sort of. Next week (and maybe for the next couple of weeks), I’ll be sharing a few rebroadcasts so we can get back into a new recording groove again! Today we share a few life updates: Dusty about her family vacation and family room, and Christina about her experience watching Once for the first time. And that dovetails into a convo about how Hollywood shapes our experiences, and even our worldview. Plus, we share some fun things we’re working on in our businesses! And Dusty talks about sales and Christina talks about story - we’re in fine form today, my friends! Enjoy!
