The Nicolas Cage-led Spider-Man series was canceled by Prime Video after just one season, despite earning 11 Emmy nominations and eventually winning multiple Creative Arts Emmys. (EW.com) And that has the GeekedOut crew asking a bigger question: Why are interesting comic-book shows getting cut while streaming services like Disney+ still need to step up the amount of must-watch content they’re giving fans? To be clear, Spider-Noir was a Sony/Amazon production and was NOT a Disney+ series. (The Direct) But as comic-book fans, we want more bold shows that actually feel different. Spider-Noir had style.
