    Ep.46 | Her Mom Asked Them to Hold Her. They Let Her Go: The Mitrice Richardson Case

    On September 16, 2009, 24 year old Mitrice Richardson drove to a restaurant in Malibu, California. Hours later she was in custody at the Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station. Around 12:30 a.m. she was released without her phone, wallet, or car, even after her mother asked that she be held until family could pick her up. Her remains were found in Dark Canyon almost a year later. Her cause of death was ruled undetermined, and her case remains open.In this episode, we look at who Mitrice was beyond the headlines: a psychology graduate who planned to become a child psychologist and wanted to help children in foster care.     Ep.45 | Ohio Missing Teen Found in Teacher’s Home After 263 Days (2026)

    On December 2, 2025, a 16 year old girl left a teen crisis center in Columbus, Ohio, and was reported missing. On August 21, 2026, she was located inside the home of a former high school science teacher during a U.S. Marshals operation. The teacher, Jobe Binkley, was charged with interference with custody, a misdemeanor. In this episode, Kylie walks through the public record: the disappearance, the teacher’s documented employment history, the two occasions police reportedly went to the home before the recovery, and the statewide operation that located her.     Chantel Brooks, a 36 year old woman from Fairfield, California, has not been seen since July 17, 2026. She finished an overnight shift at a San Francisco hotel, drove home, and was last seen in the parking lot of a CVS on Travis Boulevard. Her family says she was bubbly, close to her loved ones, and never mentioned plans to go anywhere. In this episode, I walk through the Olney "House of Horrors" investigation: how a June 19, 2026 stop near Independence Mall led police to a home on West Chew Avenue, what investigators say they found inside, and what is still unknown. This case is developing daily, and this episode reflects reporting as of September 24, 2026.     In November 2018, nurse turned farmer Amy Mullis was found dying in a barn on her family's Iowa hog farm, impaled by a corn rake with two more puncture wounds than the tool had prongs. Her husband Todd said it was a horrible accident. A doctor's second look, an autopsy, and a curiously disabled surveillance camera told investigators something else.
