    The Week We’ll Never Forget - Reflections on Stage 7 Go2Sea 2026

    Day 7 at Go2Sea brought plenty of rain, some seriously steep trails, and what can only be described as Type 2 fun - it’s only fun once you look back on it! With the week coming to an end, the media crew sat down to reflect on the journey so far, the challenges we’ve faced, and the moments that have stood out along the way.     This Is What Mountain Biking Is About | Day 5 Go2Sea 2026

    Day 5 at Go2Sea was another tough day on the bike, but one that delivered plenty of fun along the way. The riders made their way through some incredible scenery before finishing at the Karkloof Country Club, with some fantastic single-track trails making this one of the most enjoyable stages yet.     The Breakaway Grabs Glory on the Queen Stage of Day 4 | Go2Sea 2026

    Day 4 at Go2Sea brought a tough 108km stage as the riders continued their journey towards the sea. With every kilometer, the demands on both the riders and their bikes continue to grow. A huge shoutout to Siyabonga for taking the win today! 🏆 But once again, the real story of Go2Sea was found within the communities along the route. Today, we spoke to two incredible NPOs that are making a difference in their communities but need more funding and support to continue the work they do. First, we met with SARZA Search and Rescue, an organization dedicated to helping people when they need it most. 🌐 SARZA: https://www.sarza.co.za/ We also spent time with the Estcourt Animal Shelter, who work tirelessly to care for animals in need and give them a second chance. 📱 Estcourt Animal Shelter: https://www.facebook.com/estcourtanimalshelter Both organizations are doing important work with limited resources, and we want to help shine a light on what they do and encourage anyone who is able to support them to get involved.     Day 3 was really about the community

    Returning to a community we had visited before, we were seriously moved by how warmly we were welcomed back. They shared how Go2Sea has already changed lives by helping educate people and giving them opportunities to reach a university-level education. For some, the race has also created employment and provided a source of income, showing that Go2Sea’s impact reaches far beyond the road and the finish line. This story really impacted us and we want to do everything we can to shine the light on these incredible people and their families to prove that us as South Africans can make a difference and build OUR country together.
