I Got Married… Here’s What I’d Tell Every Single Person

That’s the one I’d use. It plays directly into the fact that you’re a married man now, but you were recently on the other side of this conversation. The thumbnail already asks “WHY’S DATING SO HARD?”, so the YouTube title adds a personal reason to click instead of simply repeating the thumbnail. YouTube Description Why is dating so hard? And what changes when you stop looking for perfect and start looking for healthy? Now that I’m married, I wanted to have an honest conversation with single people about some of the things I learned about dating, relationships, waiting, and preparing yourself for the person you’re praying for. In this episode of A Conversation With Matthew, we talk about why loneliness can cause us to lower our standards, why potential and patterns are two very different things, and why somebody else’s timeline should never become your deadline. We also talk about what healthy love actually looks like. Healthy love does not require perfection. It requires honesty, responsibility, and growth. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that you can spend so much time asking God for the right person that you forget to ask yourself whether you’re becoming the right person too. Marriage isn’t the finish line. Dating is about choosing somebody you can continue building with as life, careers, families, bodies, finances, and circumstances change. And if you’re single right now, hear this: singleness is a season, not a sentence, and it is certainly not a curse. You are not behind. You are not waiting for your life to begin. God is writing your story right now. So live it. If this conversation speaks to you, share it with somebody navigating dating, relationships, or a season of singleness. How an Eye Doctor Built a $230 Million Company | Dr. Bob Wright on Leadership, Legacy & Service

What does it take to build a life that truly makes a difference? In this exclusive conversation, I sit down with Dr. Bob Wright, a man many consider a living legend in Columbus, Georgia. His journey spans nearly nine decades of leadership, service, business, and historic firsts. Dr. Wright became Columbus’ first Black city councilman, was one of the earliest Black graduates of The Ohio State University College of Optometry, served in the Reagan Administration, helped lead the effort that resulted in the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture, and founded Dimensions International, a company that grew into a global government contractor before being acquired by Honeywell. But this conversation goes far beyond a résumé. We discuss: * The leadership principles that shaped his life * Building meaningful relationships that last a lifetime * The lessons every entrepreneur should know * Why character matters more than talent * His thoughts on business, public service, and legacy * His friendship with former Columbus Mayor J.R. Allen * Witnessing Isaiah Hugley become Columbus’s first elected Black mayor * The importance of generosity in a world focused on self-promotion * And the one piece of advice he would give his younger self Whether you’re an entrepreneur, a leader, someone passionate about serving your community, or simply looking for timeless wisdom, this conversation is filled with lessons that can impact every stage of life. If this episode encouraged you, like, subscribe, and share it with someone who is building their own legacy. What was your biggest takeaway from Dr. Bob Wright’s story?
