    GM has revealed several updates coming to the 2027 3.0 Duramax, including changes to the pistons, turbo vanes, next-generation NOx sensor, sealing, fuel injector corrosion protection, DEF system, and more. We’re breaking down what we know, what these changes could mean for reliability, and whether the 2027 SUVs will eventually receive the same updated LZ0.We also have details on the larger 34-gallon fuel tank, which could give the 3.0 Duramax more than 900 miles of highway driving range.     Your 3.0 Duramax MAP Sensor Could Be Causing Problems

    In this episode, we take a closer look at the 3.0 Duramax MAP sensor, including what it does, why it gets dirty, where it’s located, and whether you should clean it or replace it.The MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor is an important part of the 3.0L Duramax diesel engine management system. Because of its location near the EGR flow into the intake manifold, the sensor can develop significant buildup over time.
