We're joined by author and CEO of Hope International, Peter Greer, and YFC USA president and CEO, Jake Bland, to discuss Peter's coauthored book, Lead with Prayer (https://leadwithprayer.com). Since 2004, Peter Greer (https://www.peterkgreer.com/) has served as CEO of HOPE International, a global faith-based nonprofit working to alleviate poverty through entrepreneurship, discipleship, and financial inclusion across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe. Peter began his career in microfinance in Cambodia, Zimbabwe, and Rwanda — experiences that shaped his long-standing commitment to Christ-centered economic development and sustainable poverty alleviation. Under his leadership, HOPE has grown into an international network which has served millions of entrepreneurs through savings groups, microfinance institutions, and small and medium enterprises. Peter is also the bestselling coauthor of more than fifteen books, including Mission Drift, Lead with Prayer, How Leaders Lose Their Way, and Rooting for Rivals and examines organizational integrity, leadership, and collaboration across the social sector. Jake Bland serves as the 10th President and CEO of Youth For Christ USA. Prior to his appointment as President and CEO, Jake served as Chief of Staff to the CEO at YFC USA. In this capacity, Jake supported the CEO by coordinating YFC’s national executive team, and by positioning the mission for future growth and sustainability. In October of 2018, he was also appointed by the board as President of the YFC Foundation, a unique entity that serves YFC’s ministries and generous families in the US and around the world. Jakes’s journey with YFC began as a high school student; then as a volunteer and intern. He served YFC’s chapter in Peoria, IL from 2003-2010 as a ministry site director, while teaching as an adjunct faculty member in the Interactive Media Department at Bradley University.
