    14 | Why Your Cash Flow Feels Tight, Even When You Make Good Money

    In this episode, I'm breaking down the three most common reasons your cash flow feels stretched even when the income looks great on paper and none of them have anything to do with how hard you work or how much you make. We're talking about the housing cost benchmark nobody tells you about (and why mortgage companies are not your friend when it comes to this), what happens when everything feels like a priority and nothing actually gets funded, and why more income without a plan just gives you a more expensive version of the same problem. If you've ever looked at your bank account at the end of the month and thought, "where did it all go?" this episode is for you. To calculate housing payment ratio: add up mortgage/rent, taxes, insurance, HOA and utility bills. Then divide this amount by your household total take home pay (i.e. what you pay yourself + your husband's paychecks). Multiply this by 100 and you get your percentage.
