The Better Question: What If Menopause Isn't a Decline, But a Rebirth?

What if menopause wasn't something to fear, but a rite of passage into your most powerful self? In this episode of The Resiliency Method® Podcast, Dr. Erika Schultz welcomes spiritual coach Elayne Doughty to discuss her own dramatic healing journey through perimenopause — from being bedridden with autoimmune inflammation to reclaiming her vitality within weeks of addressing the root causes in her body. Together, they explore why hormonal decline is often misunderstood as the cause of symptoms rather than a signal, the overlooked role of the thymus gland in immunity and longevity, and why every woman's healing path looks different. They also dive into the spiritual side of this transition — reframing "aging" as "saging," and menopause as an invitation to rediscover who you are beyond a lifetime of giving to others. Whether you're navigating perimenopause, supporting a loved one through it, or simply curious about a more holistic view of women's midlife health, this conversation offers both practical insight and spiritual encouragement. - - - - - Uncover the hidden reasons your health is struggling to improve with Dr. Erika's free report: https://www.drerikaonline.com/struggling-to-improve-free-report - - - - - About the Guest: Elayne Doughty is a spiritual coach who guides high-performing women through life's major transitions, including perimenopause and menopause. Together, they explore the role neurotransmitters play in emotional health, how targeted amino acids may help restore balance, and why calming the brain often makes every other aspect of healing easier. Laurie explains how deficiencies in serotonin, GABA, catecholamines, endorphins, and blood sugar regulation can contribute to chronic symptoms and shares how she combines nutritional therapy with lifestyle changes, detoxification, nervous system support, and whole-food nutrition. The Better Question: Are You Stuck on the Parasite Cleanse Merry-Go-Round?

Could parasites be contributing to your chronic symptoms? In this episode of The Resiliency Method® Podcast, Dr. Erika Schultz and clinical nutritionist Lyric Turner explore one of today's fastest-growing topics in functional medicine: parasite health. They discuss why parasite infections may be far more common than many people realize, why conventional stool testing often fails to detect them, and how pharmaceutical medications and herbal therapies can both play a role in treatment. Drawing from Traditional Chinese Medicine, functional medicine, and years of clinical experience, they explain why successful parasite protocols require more than simply killing pathogens. Proper drainage, detoxification support, digestive healing, and restoring organ function are all essential for helping the body recover. The conversation also explores why many people become stuck in repeated parasite cleanses without experiencing lasting improvement—and why rebuilding the body's resilience should become the ultimate goal after reducing toxic burden. If you've been curious about parasite cleansing or wondering whether repeated detoxes are helping or hurting your long-term health, this episode offers a broader perspective on healing. - - - - - About the Guest: Lyric Turner, ACN, is a Certified Applied Clinical Nutritionist and practitioner with The Resiliency Method®. The Better Question: Is It Really a Parasite Problem?

In this episode of The Resiliency Method® Podcast, Dr. Erika Schultz welcomes Dr. Andrew Kidder, a doctor of chiropractic working with CellCore Biosciences, to unpack one of the most misunderstood topics in health: parasites. Together, they explore why parasite exposure is a normal part of everyday life — not just a "third world" concern — and why susceptibility, not exposure, determines whether it becomes a health problem. Dr. Kidder breaks down testing limitations, the role of drainage pathways in safe treatment, misdiagnosed cysts and tumors that turned out to be parasitic in nature, and why fear isn't the answer — resilience is. The conversation also covers ivermectin's rise in popularity, the risks of prophylactic overuse, and why building a strong immune and mitochondrial foundation matters more than chasing a single organism. - - - - - Persistent bloating, fatigue, or unexplained gut issues? The Better Question: Why Is Detox Culture Keeping You Sick?

Are you constantly detoxing—but still not feeling well? In this solo episode of The Resiliency Method® Podcast, Dr. Erika Schultz challenges today's popular "kill, kill, kill" approach to chronic illness. While parasite cleanses, antimicrobial herbs, binders, and detoxification protocols can play an important role early in the healing journey, Dr. Schultz explains why they often become the entire treatment plan—and why many people remain stuck in an endless cycle of temporary improvement followed by recurring symptoms. Drawing from both Chinese Medicine and functional medicine, she explores the concept of healing the body's internal terrain by restoring organ function, repairing the gut, regulating the nervous system, supporting the endocrine system, and rebuilding resilience from the inside out. If you've ever wondered why symptoms keep coming back despite doing "everything right," this episode offers a different way to think about healing. - - - - - Uncover whether hidden environmental toxins are sabotaging your health, and take the first step toward a full-body reset with Dr. Erika's concierge 4-Month Health Transformation Program. The Better Question: How Does Healing Happen?

This solo episode of The Resiliency Method® Podcast, hosted by Dr. Erika Schultz, explores how healing actually happens within her signature methodology. Core philosophy: The body is "made perfect in design" and already holds everything it needs to heal. True healing isn't about masking symptoms with drugs, surgery, or even supplements at a purely "medicinal" level — it's about sequencing the right support in the right order, timing, and amount so the body can do what it's designed to do. The orchestra metaphor: Dr. Schultz compares the body to a symphony that needs a conductor — the practitioner — to coordinate timing between systems. Early on, the practitioner leads more directively, but as the body heals, the patient eventually "takes the baton" and learns to conduct their own health. The spiral model of healing: Healing isn't linear or instant — it unfolds in a spiral, moving from surface-level issues deeper into the body over time: Phase 1 ("filling the dumpster"): Removing what's been causing unrest in the body — many programs stop here. Phase 3 (deep in the spiral): Rebuilding and repairing organs, tissues, and glands — addressing true root causes, including patterns that may look hereditary but aren't fixed fate ("genetics do not set you up... healing does"). Each completed healing cycle "earns the right" to go deeper; skipping ahead into deep-tissue repair too soon causes confusion and setbacks in the body — which Dr. Schultz says is why many healing protocols fail patients. - - - - - Transform your health from the inside out with Dr. Erika's concierge 4-Month Health Transformation Program: https://www.drerikaonline.com/rmphaseone - - - - - About the Host: Dr. Erika Schultz, DACM, LAc, ACN, is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, Applied Clinical Nutritionist, and founder of The Resiliency Method®. The Better Question: What If Midlife Symptoms Aren't Inevitable?

Have you been told that hormone replacement is dangerous—only to keep suffering through symptoms your doctor calls "normal aging"? In this episode of The Resiliency Method® Podcast, Dr. Erika Schultz talks with Dr. Aimee Duffy, a board-certified physician and bioidentical hormone specialist, about the real story behind the Women's Health Initiative study, why so many women were needlessly taken off hormone therapy, and what true bioidentical, physiologic hormone replacement actually looks like. Dr. Duffy shares her journey from delivering babies to becoming a leading voice in women's hormone health, breaks down the difference between synthetic and bioidentical hormones, explains why she avoids hormone pellets, and reveals how saliva and urine testing offer a far more accurate picture than standard blood work.
