I Almost Spent $20,000 on Ariana Grande Tickets...

How much would you spend to see Ariana Grande live? Because apparently, Dylan's answer is $20,000. This week on Gay and Trying, Dylan and Alex discuss Ariana Grande concert tickets, the artists they'd spend ridiculous amounts of money to see, and whether there's such a thing as going too far for your favorite pop star. Plus, we're playing Most Likely To and exposing each other's biggest red flags, celebrity beef, and who would get canceled first. Dylan shares what happened when his apartment building caught fire, we debate whether getting ready is better than actually going out, and things get increasingly unhinged when gay cruises, airplane etiquette, and sharing your location enter the conversation. What's the most you've ever spent on concert tickets, and who was it for? Let us know in the comments. New episodes of Gay and Trying every week. Learn more about your ad choices. 2026 Pop Culture Is Completely Out of Control

We’re ranking the biggest pop culture moments of 2026 so far, from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding and Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show to Heated Rivalry, Harry Styles’ comeback, KPop Demon Hunters, Zendaya and Tom Holland, and more. 2026 has already been a huge year for pop culture, so we’re counting down 10 of the moments that had everyone talking and deciding which ones actually lived up to the hype. We get into Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, the rise of Heated Rivalry, Harry Styles’ return, the biggest movies and music moments of the year, and, obviously, Taylor Swift. Plus, we play Respectfully or Disrespectfully and give our takes on dating apps, binge vs. weekly TV releases, read receipts, Close Friends stories, and somehow end up making plans for Dylan to join Seeking and Alex to sell feet pics. Songwriters Aren't Getting Paid ft. Bonnie McKee

Pop songwriter and hitmaker Bonnie McKee joins Alex and Dylan to discuss co-writing Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream,” why the streaming economy is failing songwriters, and what she believes modern pop music is missing. Bonnie takes us behind the scenes of writing one of the most iconic pop songs of the 2010s including why she ultimately had to let “Teenage Dream” go and what it was like watching the song reach a new generation through Glee. She also breaks down how artists, songwriters, record labels, and streaming platforms actually make money and why the people writing the songs can still be the last ones to get paid. We also get into the disappearance of bridges, TikTok’s influence on songwriting, the death of the pop monoculture, and why today’s music can sometimes feel built for an algorithm instead of an emotional payoff. Bonnie opens up about reclaiming her career, independently releasing *Hot City*, mentoring younger songwriters, directing, screenwriting, and navigating censorship on social media. Plus, Bonnie blind-ranks pop icons including Lady Gaga, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Prince, Beyoncé, and Mariah Carey then joins us for Kiss, Marry, Kill. Do you think modern pop songs are missing something? Let us know in the comments. Follow Bonnie McKee:   / bonniemckee   Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
