It’s taken me a long time to get here and I nearly at times didn’t , but I made it — just in time for perimenopause (joy 😭). This is a safe, inclusive space for everyone — neurodivergent and non-neurodivergent people, ADHD, autistic and AuDHD minds, men, women, non-binary people, all ages, races, religions, identities, and backgrounds. Whether you’re diagnosed, self-identifying, questioning, struggling, healing, or simply trying to understand yourself better… you are welcome here. Because once upon a time, I needed a space like this — and I felt welcome nowhere. So let’s not recreate that. After years of ADHD masking, autism masking, people pleasing, emotional burnout, and trying to fit into spaces that never fully fit me, I’m now on a journey to better understand myself, my AuDHD brain, and what it really means to live authentically as a neurodivergent woman — whilst training as a therapist, working as a mentor and coach, and occasionally doing motivational speaking. If you’re navigating ADHD, autism, AuDHD, masking, burnout, executive dysfunction, rejection sensitivity, overwhelm, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, or the emotional reality of being neurodivergent in a world that doesn’t always understand you — you’re welcome here. We also sometimes touch on trauma, healing, relationships, identity, mental health, and nervous system overwhelm… because a problem shared is a problem halved and all that and I’ve had an exciting life (ffs) AuDHD and then some is a neurodivergent mental health podcast hosted by Ellie, exploring the real and often unspoken side of ADHD, autism, and late-diagnosed AuDHD. Expect honest conversations, relatable reflections, and practical insights around: • ADHD and autism (AuDHD) • Neurodivergent identity and unmasking • Executive dysfunction and autistic burnout • Emotional regulation and nervous system overwhelm • Rejection sensitivity and people pleasing • ADHD in women and high-masking autism • Late diagnosis grief and self-acceptance This isn’t about fixing yourself. It’s about understanding your brain, softening the noise, and feeling a little less alone. ✨ More resources, bonus content and community: audhdandthensome.com audhdandthensome.com/audhdmembership patreon.com/AuDHDandThenSome”

Why Am I So Obsessed With ADHD? The Late Diagnosis Hyperfocus Nobody Talks About

Have you ever been told you’re “obsessed” with ADHD, autism, or being neurodivergent since your diagnosis? In this episode of AuDHD And Then Some, Ellie explores why so many late-diagnosed ADHD, autistic and AuDHD adults become deeply interested in learning about neurodivergence after receiving a diagnosis. Is it obsession? Or is it finally understanding your own brain for the first time? After years of feeling different, confused, overwhelmed, misunderstood, or wondering why life seemed harder than it appeared to be for everyone else, receiving a diagnosis can feel like finally being handed the missing manual. In this episode, Ellie discusses: 🌈 ADHD hyperfocus and special interests 🌈 Why late diagnosis can feel life-changing 🌈 Understanding your neurodivergent brain 🌈 The grief and relief that often comes with diagnosis 🌈 Why learning about ADHD isn’t an excuse—it’s self-understanding 🌈 The irony of ADHD becoming a hyperfocus 🌈 Adult ADHD and autism diagnosis journeys If you’ve ever found yourself researching ADHD for hours, listening to every neurodivergent podcast you can find, watching endless reels, or suddenly seeing your entire life through a different lens, this episode is for you. Because sometimes we’re not obsessed with ADHD. We’re fascinated by finally understanding ourselves. 💜 🔗 Find my support groups, podcast links, resources and discovery calls: linktr.ee/Ellieaudhd #ADHD #AuDHD #Autism #LateDiagnosis #AdultADHD #AdultAutism #Neurodivergent #ADHDPodcast #AuDHDPodcast #WomenWithADHD #ADHDAwareness #Neurodiversity #ExecutiveDysfunction #ADHDSupport #AutismAcceptance #LateDiagnosedADHD #LateDiagnosedAutistic #MentalHealth #NeurodivergentPodcast
