90% of the time, these podcasts that look at fairly obscure media (The Jerky Boys were amazing, but let’s be honest they’re not exactly culturally relevant these days, not to their prior degree) are disorganized and put together with equipment that sounds like it was recorded on an old tape cassette recorder with a tape that had already been recorded over at least a dozen times.
These guys actually sound great in terms of audio quality, they’re funny in their commentary of something that had maybe five years in the 90s of being a big hit before fading into somewhat obscurity, and they have made a really entertaining podcast out of it. I’m really excited to see where they go and how long they can keep it going. Maybe down the road they explore other acts or ideas that the Jerky Boys wound up inspiring, or dig into the late 90s early 2000s soundboard calls that were all the rage on the internet, I don’t know but for now they’ve got me hooked and I’m really enjoying it! Keep it up!
