    Episode 007 is here and this week we’ve got Joe Laws and special guest Chrissy Lowdon joining us at the Benwell Kronk (Joes back garden) A change of scenery for this one as we head into Joe’s back garden for a proper catch-up with two big names from the North East boxing scene. Joe and Chrissy go way back, and throughout the episode you can see just how tight-knit the community up here really is. We talk about their journeys so far the highs, the lows, the setbacks, the big moments and everything in between. Joe Laws breaks down what it really takes to become a professional boxer, from starting out at Birtley Boxing Club, experiencing different gyms and environments, working his way into the professional ranks and everything that’s happened throughout his career since. We also look ahead to September 12th, when Joe faces Harley Benn at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle. Joe talks us through the fight, his preparation and exactly how he sees himself getting the job done. Chrissy Lowdon opens up about his own boxing journey and explains why now is the right time to turn professional. News on Chrissy’s professional debut will be coming shortly, so keep an eye out. It was class catching up with the lads and hearing the stories behind their journeys.     Episode 6 of the NE B******t Club Podcast is here Unlicensed vs Amateur. 🥊 This week, we’re joined by Callum Drinkald and Jake Paterson, two fighters taking very different routes through the boxing world. Callum is an established amateur boxer who has made the move over to unlicensed boxing, while Jake is doing the opposite moving from the unlicensed scene into amateur boxing. With both lads experiencing different sides of the sport, this made for a quality conversation with plenty of debate, opinions and insight into amateur vs unlicensed boxing. We get into the differences between the two scenes, what each route offers, and where the lads see their boxing careers heading next. We also talk professional boxing and whether that’s ultimately the route Callum and Jake want to go down in the future. And, of course, we catch up with Jack AKA the Palmo Prince to find out where he’s been, what he’s been up to and what’s been going on in his life.     In Episode 002, we’re joined by Robbie “The Showman” Colman and Dylan Phoenix Morrison for some seriously interesting conversations. Fresh off an incredible 20 rounds with Josh Blenkiron across two Northern Area Lightweight Title fights, Robbie breaks down the entire experience. We discuss the build-up to both contests, the controversial point deduction that proved costly in the first fight, his mindset and motivation going into the rematch, and the emotions of finally getting his hands on the Northern Area belt after winning the second fight by split decision. The pair first met for the vacant title in January 2026, with Blenkiron edging a razor-close 96-95 decision after Robbie lost a point late in the fight, before Robbie gained revenge and captured the title in their April rematch.
