I grew up Mormon. I’d have what most would call a happy childhood but it definitely wasn’t normal and was certainly tainted by the church and the harsh standards they push on their members, especially the women. As a mom, I couldn’t continue to practice once I recognized how much it would hurt my babies. This podcast has helped me process the harm that was done to me and to understand that a lot of harmful thoughts were not me but the church. Thank you Dr. John Dehlin and hosts, you’ve made me a better mom, wife, daughter, and most importantly, person
