The most relatable, funniest, and warmest film podcast I’ve encountered. With a new toddler, I’ve had a FTM episode running constantly in my headphones over the past year. The cast of characters, from Patrick, Erika, and the kids, to JB and Jan, Adam, Mike, and all the others, some coming and going over the years, became distinct personalities in my mind. And here’s the thing, while the styles and perspectives of the co-hosts vary, naturally leading one to have favorites, they’re all invariably informed, honest, and polite to the audience and each other. They’ve led me to some great new discoveries, as well as inspired revisits of old favorites with renewed enthusiasm. So much gratitude for Patrick’s tireless efforts over so many years. Lastly, shout out to Doug, the master sideman, who can ride the beat with Patrick like no other. At this point, I’m saving old Doug episodes like rare bottles of cognac.
