Firstly, for those familiar with the term "political Hebraism," the study of the political philosophy that emerged from the transmission of the torah/Hebrew bible over time to different cultures and societies, this podcast greatly illuminates it. It is far from a "political" podcast in the modern sense, but he really illuminates the Hebraic philosophy of humanity, the self, and our relationship to others through family, community, and the polity that makes up one of the two major strands of Western Civ: what Leo Strauss would call "Athens and Jerusalem."
As to the main review: this is the most beautiful explanation of Jewish philosophy I have ever heard. I wish all people, Jewish or not, could hear these insights. I think starting with the episode "your inner consciousness" is a great way to ground some of the lessons going forward. But the entire Torah/Hebrew bible is given an entirely beautiful and for many new overlook by the lessons Rabbi Basous draws out of the lives of specific individuals , like Moshe, Abraham, Ruth, Esther, Joseph, the prophets like Isaiah, etc.
I listen to this podcast every morning and evening and it has done far more for my mental health than any therapist ever has. I hope all can listen and gain such benefit.
