Is AI Our New Golden Calf? Technology and Idolatry

We tend to think of technology as a tool we use. But what if it's using us? As AI does more of what we once thought only humans could do, Christians face an old question with new urgency: What does it mean to be human?  Dr. Thacker sits with host Brittney Brown and explains why no technology is neutral, why AI is tempting culture to treat technology as a "quasi savior," and why the image of God is the doctrine Christians most need right now. He also shares how everyday conversations about AI can open the door to the gospel.  They also explore:  Is technology neutral, or is it shaping how we see God, ourselves, and the world? Why is it so hard to put down our phones? What does it mean to be human when machines can do human-like tasks? Is AI becoming a new golden calf or a new savior? What's the difference between narrow AI, general intelligence, and superintelligence? How can Christians be people of truth in an age of deepfakes and misinformation? What do AI companions reveal about what people are really searching for? How can conversations about AI become opportunities to share the hope of Christ? ___________________________________________   LEARN MORE ABOUT DR. Can Archaeology Confirm Christianity? Dead Sea Scrolls & the Divinity of Christ

Has the Bible changed over the centuries? Did Constantine and the Council of Nicaea invent the idea that Jesus is God? Two discoveries give Christians something concrete to examine: scrolls from the caves near the Dead Sea, and a church floor from around 230 A.D. that honors "the God Jesus Christ." Host Brittney Brown sits down with Dr. Bobby Duke, Chief Curatorial Officer and Director of the Scholars Initiative at Museum of the Bible in Washington, DC, and former dean of the School of Theology at Azusa Pacific University. Together they ask what archaeology can confirm about Christianity, and what it can't. They also discuss: What can archaeology actually tell us about the Bible, and where are its limits? How were the Dead Sea Scrolls found, and why do they matter for the Old Testament you read? Do manuscript variants undermine the Bible's reliability? Did the early church invent Jesus' divinity, or did Nicaea inherit it? What does a 1,800-year-old church floor tell us about ordinary early Christians? How does a 2,700-year-old command in Isaiah still shape how Christians live today? ___________________________________________  LEARN MORE ABOUT DR.
