All Leaves. No Fruit (Mark 11)

In Mark 11, Jesus uses a fruitless fig tree and his confrontation in the temple to expose the difference between religious activity and genuine spiritual fruit. His inspection challenges us to ask whether our worship changes how we live or simply makes us feel better about how we live. As Jesus announces judgment on the temple, he points us toward faith in God—and through his death, opens the way into God’s presence.

    Visiting Hours (Luke 19:37-44)

As the crowd shouts "Peace in heaven," Jesus looks at Jerusalem and weeps, because the city whose name means peace cannot see that its peace is standing at the gate. In Luke 19:41–44, the Judge weeps over the sentence he pronounces, and this study asks whether we, like Jerusalem, can cheer for Jesus and still miss the time of our visitation.

A Wee Little Man Was He

One chapter after a rich ruler finds he can't let go of his wealth, Jesus stops beneath a sycamore tree in Jericho and invites himself to dinner at the house of the most despised rich man in town. In this study of Luke 19:1–10, we see grace arrive before any change has happened, and we watch a chief tax collector squeeze through the eye of a needle, because what is impossible with man is possible with God.

    Fairest Lord Jesus

When Peter asks what the disciples will get for leaving everything, Jesus tells the story of a vineyard owner who keeps going back out to hire workers and then pays the one-hour crew the same as those who worked all day. In this study of Matthew 20:1–16, we see that God's kingdom runs on grace, not time cards, and we're asked whether we can rejoice when the Master is generous to someone else.

    Dave Ramsey's Worst Nightmare

In Matthew 18, Jesus compares God’s forgiveness to the cancellation of an impossibly large debt—and then confronts us with what that mercy demands in the way we treat those who have wronged us. We’ll explore what it means to forgive from the heart without confusing forgiveness with restored trust, erased consequences, or permission for continued harm.

    Lost & Found

Jesus tells three stories in Luke 15 — a lost sheep, a lost coin, two lost sons — that all make the same point: finding never depends on the one who's lost, only on someone willing to go looking. Join us as we ask which character in these stories we actually are.

    The Okayish Samaritan

We call him "good," but Jesus never does — he's just a Samaritan who stopped when it would've been easier to keep walking. In this study of Luke 10:25–37, we ask why a religious lawyer's question ("who is my neighbor?") is really a search for the edge of his obligation, and why Jesus answers it by making a despised outsider the hero of mercy. It's a challenge to trade self-justification for costly, sustained compassion — the kind that doesn't ask who deserves it before it crosses the road.

    Jesus on KidsMin

In Mark 10:13–16, Jesus welcomes the children whom His disciples tried to turn away, revealing His deep concern for the young and vulnerable. This study challenges churches and families to remove barriers that keep children from Jesus and to make their spiritual formation a true priority. It also explores what Jesus means when He says that the kingdom of God must be received like a child.
