College Football Nobodies

Erich Klett and Kevin Ivers

Erich and Kevin have been talking college football every week for more than 10 years—long before the transfer portal and conference realignment turned the sport upside down. They started as coworkers in a corporate office. When they first met, they immediately started reminiscing about the glory years of college football in the ’90s and 2000s. They quickly realized they had found someone who shared their love for Saturdays in the Fall. They couldn’t stop talking about the game, and they’re still at it. This show is for anyone who loves college football in all its messy, beautiful chaos. All conferences. All teams. The big brands and the true nobodies. The rivalries, the coaching carousels, conference races, playoff debates, and yes—even the video game. No matter what challenges the sport is facing, when the ball is kicked off, it’s still the same beautiful game. So pull up a chair and hang out with two guys who simply love college football.

    Week 2 Preview

College Football Nobodies: Week 2 Preview Week 2 is where the stakes get real—and this preview maps out the games that can reshape seasons before conference play even settles in. From a revived Border War in Lawrence to Texas and Ohio State colliding in a prime-time heavyweight fight, Kevin Ivers and Erich break down the matchups, spreads, and upset spots that could flip the early playoff picture. The chaos from Week 1 is already in the rearview, and now the schedule is packed with true on-field tests: Missouri at Kansas on Friday night, Arizona State's trip to Texas A&M, Oklahoma's massive road exam at Michigan, BYU hosting Arizona in a pivotal Big 12 clash, Alabama visiting Kentucky, Mississippi State heading to Minnesota, Memphis trying to topple Boise State, UCLA looking to build on its breakout under Bob Chesney, Iowa State-Iowa in the Cy-Hawk rivalry, and Utah welcoming Arkansas into one of the toughest environments in college football. You'll hear exactly why Missouri-Kansas feels different again, why Arizona State may be getting too many points at Kyle Field, and why Oklahoma's defense could make Bryce Underwood's nightmare start get even worse. Kevin and Erich also argue through the numbers, the matchups in the trenches, and the coaching edges that matter most when elite teams finally face someone closer to their level. They break down the week's best storylines, including Noah Fifita's chance to steal the spotlight in Provo, Camario Taylor's electric ceiling at Mississippi State, the fascinating number on Alabama-Kentucky, and why the Memphis-Boise State game might be the best Group of Six battle of the season so far. Each pick comes with real betting insight—not just vibes. If you care about ranked matchups, upset alerts, and the games that actually tell us something about who these teams are, this is the Week 2 roadmap you want. They quickly realized they had found someone who shared their love for Saturdays in the Fall. They couldn’t stop talking about the game, and they’re still at it.
