    Our Biggest Fan Turned Into Our Biggest Nightmare

    In this episode of Messy Minutes, we’re opening up about one of the most difficult experiences we’ve had as creators. What started as a supportive follower slowly turned into a relationship filled with blurred boundaries, manipulation, and life threats. As things escalated, we made the difficult decision to step away—but it didn’t end there. The situation eventually involved another member of our community who was a minor, making it even more concerning. We’re sharing what happened, how it affected us behind the scenes, what we learned about setting boundaries online, and why it’s so important to recognize when a parasocial relationship has become unhealthy. Trigger warning: This episode discusses emotional manipulation and suicidal threats. Our goal isn’t to shame anyone, but to share our experience honestly and encourage healthier boundaries between creators and their communities.
