Is this the Star Trek show we feared

Is this the new Star Trek show we feared? In this episode of the Tachyon pulse podcast, we dive deep into the latest TV news surrounding the franchise. With rumors swirling about a potential New Kurtzman Star Trek show, fans are questioning what direction Paramount and CBS might take next. We weigh these developments against the legacy of the classics, comparing the tone to Star Trek The Original Series, Star Trek TNG, and the beloved stories found in Star Trek Deep Space Nine and Star Trek Voyager. Could this upcoming project capture the magic of the Next Generation, or is it destined to repeat the divisive reception of Star Trek Picard? We discuss how these rumors stack up against the established lore, from the iconic presence of Spock to the expanded universe seen in Star Trek Online. As Skydance takes a more prominent role, we break down what this means for the future of the brand and whether the spirit of the original series can be maintained in the modern era. Join us as we analyze the official announcements and fan speculation to see if this is truly the direction we were dreading or if there is hope for the next chapter in the Star Trek official canon.
