A Slob Comes Clean

I am really grateful I found this podcast recommendation on a Reddit comment. I never write reviews but I feel compelled. Sometimes we need someone who understands to help motivate and the episode I listened to helped me immediately understand myself better and made me instantly motivated to start cleaning and also rethink my organizational and cleaning system. I felt it was not only relatable, but totally reframed my perception. The episode mentioned crisis cleaning and I realize that is what I do rather than have consistent system for cleaning. I have had more consistency in the past but when certain life events disrupt this, it has been really difficult for me to get back to it and maintain it long term. I find this podcast extremely motivating and inspiring because it gives practical advice and insight. Excited to listen to more episodes and work towards being tidy 🩵

I love your recent episode about how your why for decluttering is being able to rest without feeling guilty. You mentioned that people who are naturally good at being organized often say they can get so much more done when their house is not cluttered and messy, but those of us who are not naturally good at it can still get things done so that isn’t necessarily our why. But the resting part without feeling guilty really resonates with me, as does much of what you share. Thank you for taking the time to create wonderful content and for being so real and relatable. I listen to a lot of podcasts and had high hopes. I’ve listened to six episodes so far and really, it’s listening to a few stories in between ads. But your book read the blog this product is so great my books are on sale another great product. I can’t believe people have the patience for this. Or the tolerance. Shame on you.

I am sure there’s good advice sprinkled in here somewhere but could we get to the point? On and on saying the same thing, yet saying nothing at all is truly an accomplishment. Also - why does she believe that doing the dishes ONCE a day is all that’s needed? Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and more snacks, drinks. I get anxiety just listening.
