Da7e vs. Pronunciation

Da7e says “verse” when he means to say “versus”. This is bad.

Privilege/knowledge check

Been meaning to write this review for a while now, but the ignorance on display with this weeks review read and being to work a half hour early inspired my motivation today. Been listening for a couple of years off and on, and plan to continue doing so. Great mix of personalities and insights, generally. Ehrlich threw one of the biggest podcasts in the country under the bus as more or less maga country. Just a fact check, Rogan is a Democrat, pretty obviously, and the elite that paint his audience as deplorables is flat wrong. He’ll have anyone on his podcast and has in fact welcomed three democratic candidates for president on his show just this year. Refusing to treat middle America as criminals for voting for admittedly the wrong guy is ignorant and beneath you. Still want that mad men rewatch podcast. Keep up the good work!

Answering Patches question on 268

Childish Gambino has two songs and videos in 2018 that addressed serious issues. This is America is (maybe) about how we are desensitized to violence. It Feels like Summer video is about how climate change is happening whether or not we choose to discuss it. Hence all the rapper cameos in the video. But those are both (violence and climate change)massive issues that are too large for a single piece of media to adequately cover. And First Reformed is about a preacher learning about climate change and its effects on the community.

I love all four of the hosts. Da7e and I both have affection for world building in movies. Katie is a great moderator and adds a much needed feminine touch to the movie podcast world. Not a lot of moms on movie podcasts. I can’t really get a reading on Patches interests, which keeps me captivated with his takes. And David... (autocorrect won’t let me type the last name). You give excellent recommendations for media I wouldn’t otherwise watch or have heard about. You’re the cool older brother who is a little above the fray when it comes to mainstream film discussion. The internet is already full of Marvel quick takes and not enough love for Paddington. Keep doing your thing, war roomies.
