If you keep a timer of actual podcast content versus commercials or mike plugging some content or repeating his tongue tired product names, you probably get 1/2 of actual listening. Slap in the face of listeners cause it’s clearly a money grab.

Q: Moody left the podcast late 2018. When did the million downloads per month of the I Am Rapaport podcast drop below 1 million? A: Late 2018 to early 2019 (coinciding exactly with G. Moody’s departure from the show). The podcast was still averaging 1.5–2 million monthly downloads/listens as of July 2018, with Moody as full-time co-host (the “Gruesome Twosome”/“Disco 2” era peak). Live episodes and press coverage from summer/fall 2018 (e.g., the Aug. 31, 2018 Boston live show) still featured G. Moody prominently. By December 14, 2018 (EP 515), episode descriptions began noting Michael Rapaport opening segments “SOLO,” signaling the format shift. Moody’s final on-air appearances ended around late 2018; by September 2019 fan comments explicitly stated Rapaport had fired/let go of Moody with no explanation. In short: the million-per-month benchmark (which the show had first hit in May 2016 and exceeded in the following years) dropped during the late-2018 transition to Rapapport solo format and has not returned since. Fan discussions and the lack of any post-2018 milestone talk confirm the decline aligned directly with Moody’s exit.
