Campaign is long-form actual play podcast. Our current series Campaign: Skyjacks takes place in an original setting inspired by folktales and classic adventure fiction. Join Liz Anderson, John Patrick Coan, Tyler Davis, Johnny O’Mara, and gamemaster James D’Amato as they tell a tale of daring sky pirates. … Also it’s basically an elaborate re-telling of Weekend at Bernie’s.
Skyjacks: Episode 113
The sun begins to set as the dinner-bell rings. Travis decides to see how valuable the information he won from the Morrigan is. Jonnit and Gable bully Travis for being insistent on having a constant existential crisis. They decide to peep into the future to put him at ease, a choice that I'm sure won't have major implications down the line. Don't worry about it.
Skyjacks: Episode 112
We join the Crew of the Uhuru in transit after leaving N'Goni. Their coffers are full (at least fuller than they were) and the crew is enjoying their time between ports while they determine what their next plan should be. Travis enjoys some light vanity reading, which turns out to be a nightmare. Jonnit takes some time to enjoy a smoothie and then joins Gable for a quick lesson on running the helm.
Skyjacks Interlude: Broker Youngblood Negotiation Part 2
The Broker and Remmington Youngblood continue their negotiation. The Broker continues a risky gambit, sharing valuable intelligence in an effort to drive a wedge between the Youngbloods and their long-time allies: The Red Feather Syndicate.
Skyjacks Interlude: Broker Youngblood Negotiation Part 1
While the Uhuru charts their course away from N'Goni, clouds gather over Burza Nyth. The Broker holds an audience with the head of one of the most powerful privateer companies in all of Spéir: Remmington Youngblood. These two are on the brink of open conflict following the events of The Uhuru's adventures in Burza Nyth. After weeks of correspondence, the two meet in an effort to prevent an escalation of hostilities that could be disastrous for their respective organizations.
Negotiation Game Explainer
James explains the rules to the original Powered by the Apocolypse system he developed for the Interlude episodes featuring the negotiation between The Broker and Remmington Youngblood. This system was developed in part thanks to innovations to the PbtA engine made by Brandon Leon Gambetta in Pasión de las Pasiones.
Skyjacks: Post N'Goni Behind the Sails Part 2
The discussion continues as James, Liz, Tyler, and Johnny answer listener questions! We discuss the potential for a BIRDS musical, James expands on the fine arts culture originating with freelancer Cher P.'s Silver Chalice, and we do a little impromptu world building. Special thanks to Anansi O. Tempest for creating the concept for N’Goni.
Can’t stop listening!!!
James is an excellent storyteller and the actors are so so funny. I am in love with all their characters including the NPCs! If you haven’t listened to this yet, I would give it a try- especially if you enjoy pirates.
i’ve listened to many an actual play in my time but this is my absolute favorite! i love the characters, love the music, love the inclusion of the luminaries, and of course love sky pirates! i heartily recommend to anyone who has a pulse (and people who don’t have them, too)
Well acted, interesting deep storyline
Title says it all. Look forward to it every week.
