Join us in The Program this week to unpack the sordid and child abuse laden history of WWASP, or the World Wide Association of Specialty Programs. WWASP was an umbrella organization that ran a plethora of specialty programs throughout the world, but headquartered in Utah. These programs masqueraded as a last ditch resort for parents with unruly teenagers. The schools promised to whip their kids into shape...but instead subjected these children to abuse, neglect, and violated their most basic human rights. These are their stories.

Ep. 6: Anonymous Survivor - Spring Creek Lodge & Liahona Academy
In Episode 6, our anonymous guest recounts his experience of being sent to the WWASP facility Spring Creek Lodge in his early teens. Only 2 months later, he would then be transported to a similar program, the Liahona School….while having a bad trip on acid.
After graduating from this program, he would be sent back yet again, where he would witness the neglect of a student who died while in the care of Liahona.

Casa Survivors
Hi, was in casa from ‘02 until closing, and I thank you. My parents and I still haven’t had the discussion. You know, the one about how this impacted my life. My mom says can’t you just move on. It hurts. I know they maybe did save my life, maybe not it is what it is but I need them to hear me, and knowing ten15 years later I’m not alone, thank you. From the bottom of my heart. Any casa survivors my old face book was hacked, but I’m here, just once again not trusting people. Also shout out to Casa Alumni Sara Long Jasmin Tatum, my sisters from another life. Randi Koetz the most beautiful soul who sadly took her own life, the memorial for a life gone way too soon, and Lily Palmer, Raya Sunshine. Man seems likes another life ago but the scars the pain of being given away to these facilities that have no right raising children, Parents Love and Accept your Children, accept the invisiduality they have, Celebrate them, Allow them to Express themselves, Listen to your children First and Formost Don’t lose your children because you can’t love them for who they are, protect them, but respect them.
