Could Doing Less Actually Improve Your Health? Recovery, Sleep + Longevity with Dr. Arshad Hack (Part 2)

I’m back with Dr. Arshad Hack of LiifeHack Longevity for part two of our conversation all about taking a more intentional approach to our health, performance and longevity. In this episode, we go even deeper into the habits, testing and everyday choices that can help us feel stronger, recover better and support the way we want to age. We talk about everything from VO2 max and zone two cardio to burnout, nervous system regulation, sleep and the routines Dr. Hack personally uses to stay on top of his own health. I also loved hearing more about how data can create positive feedback loops and help us actually see the impact of the work we’re putting in. Tune in to learn more on: • Why VO2 max is such an important marker for longevity and how zone two cardio can support cardiovascular health, endurance and visceral fat levels. • How testing and retesting things like VO2 max, strength, balance and range of motion can help us measure progress over time. • Why burnout is so common and the simple practices Dr. Hack recommends for calming the nervous system and creating more balance. • The importance of sleep and why prioritizing recovery can completely change your energy, mood, performance and overall health. • Dr. Hack’s own daily habits around nutrition, hydration, fasting, movement and the health data he personally pays attention to. One of my biggest takeaways from this conversation is that longevity is not about doing everything perfectly. It’s about creating habits that actually work for your life, paying attention to how your body responds, and being willing to adjust when something is no longer serving you. This is your reminder that sometimes more is not better, whether it’s training, work, or the pressure we put on ourselves, recovery and balance matter just as much. So grateful to Dr. Hack for joining me for this chat and sharing so much knowledge with all of us. If this episode resonated, send it to someone who would love this conversation too! What Does It Really Mean to Age With Agency? with Dr. Arshad Hack (Part 1)

I’m so excited to bring this conversation to Inspire + Move! In part one of this two-part conversation., I’m joined by Dr. Arshad of LiifeHack Longevity to talk about what it can look like to take a more proactive, personalized approach to our health. After Matt and I went through the LiifeHack experience ourselves, I knew I wanted to dive deeper into the data, testing and insights that can help us better understand what is happening inside our bodies. We talk about the difference between simply living longer and actually extending the number of years we feel strong, capable and healthy. From preventative testing and biomarkers to body composition, recovery and knowing when more isn’t always better, this conversation is such an interesting look at what it means to truly “age with agency.” Tune in to hear more about: • Creating LiifeHack Longevity and the gaps between traditional reactive healthcare and a more preventative approach. • The difference between lifespan and health span, and what it means to “age with agency.” • Valuable health markers and testing that can help give us a more complete picture of what is happening in our bodies. • Why body composition, including muscle mass, bone density and visceral fat, can tell us so much more than simply focusing on the number on the scale. • The importance of recovery for high achievers, and why constantly doing more with our training isn’t always the answer. One of my biggest takeaways from this conversation is that knowledge gives us the opportunity to make more intentional choices. It’s about understanding our own bodies, creating strong foundations and making small, meaningful changes that support how we want to feel now and for years to come. This is only part one of my conversation with Dr. Arshad, so stay tuned for part two as we continue diving into longevity, health optimization and what it can look like to take greater ownership of our health! In the Pursuit of Something More & Trusting Your Next Move with Lindsey Marie

In honour of Lindsey Marie’s 10th year throwing the exceptional event that is Powerhouse Women, I thought I would do a replay of the episode back in 2024 where I had her on the podcast! Please enjoy! Lindsey Marie is an entrepreneur, author, top podcast host and founder of Powerhouse Women! As Lindsey moved through her own entrepreneurial journey and searched for something more, she saw the need for more honest conversations about the highs and lows of business and creating big dreams. From there, the Powerhouse Women community, annual event and podcast were born, all rooted in the belief that we’re not meant to do business or life alone. In this conversation, Lindsey and I dive into how Powerhouse Women came to be, what it really takes to build a meaningful community and the personal growth required as your business continues to evolve. We also talk about vulnerability, learning to ask for support, creating more space in your life and trusting yourself when it’s time to say yes, say no or let go of control. Tune in to hear more about: • Lindsey’s entrepreneurial journey, the lessons she carried forward from health, fitness and network marketing. Plus, how Powerhouse Women began. • Building and cultivating a strong community through connection, vulnerability, support and allowing yourself to truly be seen. • The intentional evolution behind live events and creating spaces where entrepreneurs can find deeper relationships, accountability and next-level support. • Slowing down, creating stillness and trusting your intuition when you have too much on your plate. • Learning how to give your best full YES, say no when something isn’t aligned. There are so many incredible reminders in this conversation about what can happen when we stop trying to do everything alone. Growth often requires us to be vulnerable enough to ask for help, intentional enough to protect our time and open enough to let the right people support us along the way. Send this episode to your favourite business bestie who needs a little reminder that we really are better together. Does Your Business Need a New Strategy, or Just a New Room?

In this episode, I’m coming to you fresh off an incredible few days in Toronto filled with connection, celebration, big ideas and some very special firsts! After celebrating my friends Kristina and Maria of High Vibe Women, experiencing my first ever billboard moment and spending the day at their Yacht Day Mastermind, I was reminded just how powerful it can be to intentionally change your environment and get yourself in the right rooms. Sometimes stepping outside of your normal routine is exactly what you need to create space for fresh ideas, new energy and meaningful connections. Whether it’s attending an event, joining a mastermind, investing in mentorship or simply working somewhere different for the day, giving yourself room to expand can create so much magic. Tune in as we explore: • Why changing your environment can spark new ideas, creativity and clarity. • The power of surrounding yourself with people who support and encourage your biggest goals. • Why investing in coaching, mentorship, masterminds and live experiences can accelerate your growth. • The unique energy and opportunities that come from connecting with people in person. • How to be intentional about the rooms you enter and the value you take away from them. Remember, the investment doesn’t always have to be huge. What matters is how intentionally you show up, the energy you bring and what you do with the relationships, ideas and opportunities that come from the experience. Take a look at your calendar and ask yourself where you can create more space for your own expansion. If I Wanted to Become Known in My Industry, I'd Do These 3 Things First

In this episode, I'm sharing three simple but powerful strategies that have helped me build meaningful relationships, create opportunities and become known in my industry. While it's easy to think that more content or a bigger following is the answer, I've learned that the biggest breakthroughs often happen through genuine connection, collaboration, and showing up in the right rooms. If you're building a business, growing your personal brand, or looking to expand your network, these are the habits I believe make the biggest difference over the long term! Tune in as we explore: • Why getting in the room creates opportunities that social media alone can't. • How collaboration will always outperform competition. • The power of becoming the person who connects others. • Why your reputation matters more than your follower count. • Practical ways to build trust, grow your network, and become known in your industry. Remember, becoming known isn't about chasing attention. It's about creating genuine relationships, adding value, and consistently showing up for the people around you. Those small actions compound into opportunities you could never plan for. I'd love to hear which of these three strategies you're going to put into action first! Send me a DM on Instagram @AlliArruda and let me know. I can't wait to cheer you on. Long time listener? I would LOVE it if you could leave me a 5-star podcast review! Energy Is Contagious — And So Is the Opposite

Back this week with a fresh solo episode, I'm diving into one of the questions I get asked most often: "How do you have so much energy?" While I'm grateful to be known for bringing positive energy into every room I walk into, this conversation goes much deeper than that. As a business owner and coach, I've realized that my energy isn't just something I experience personally. It influences my team, my clients, my community and the people around me. Whether I'm stepping onto the gym floor at Benchmark Fitness, leading a mastermind call, or coaching one-on-one, I've learned that the energy I bring has the power to shape the experience for everyone else. The good news? Energy isn't something we're born with. It's something we can intentionally create. In this episode, we explore: Why energy is contagious, and how your mindset and presence influence your team, clients, relationships  and business. The difference between being a thermostat versus a thermometer, and why great leaders set the emotional tone instead of reacting to it.Simple ways to regulate your nervous system and generate energy before important moments. The daily habits that help me show up as the best version of myself, from movement and sleep to creating intentional routines before serving others. Why your personal energy is one of the most valuable parts of your brand, and how showing up consistently can create lasting impact far beyond the work itself. One of my biggest reminders while recording this episode was that leadership isn't about feeling energized all the time. It's about taking responsibility for how you show up, even on the days when it feels harder. When we become intentional with our energy, we don't just change our own experience. We elevate the people around us. I'd love to hear what resonated most with you! Send me a DM on Instagram @AlliArruda and let me know how you're creating more intentional energy in your business and everyday life. Want to work with me? What If Healing Your Nervous System Was Simpler Than You Think? with Dr. Michelle Peris (Part 2)

Back for part two of my second collab this month with Dr. Michelle Peris, the host of the Wild Medicine podcast, to continue our conversation all about burnout recovery, nervous system resilience, and what it really looks like to create a life that feels sustainable. After hearing Dr. Michelle's personal burnout story in part one, we shift the conversation toward the practical side of healing. We explore how to recognize your own stress signals, why recovery looks different for everyone, and the small daily habits that can help you feel more present, resilient, and connected to your life. One of my biggest takeaways was realizing that recovery doesn't have to mean a complete lifestyle overhaul. Sometimes the biggest changes start with the smallest moments. Tune in for more as we explore: • How to identify your personal signs that your nervous system is under too much stress before burnout. • Why nervous system resilience isn't about staying calm all the time, but learning how to recover more quickly from life's inevitable stressors. • Simple recovery practices that can help restore balance without adding more to your to-do list. • Why creating "white space" in your day can spark more creativity, innovation, and joy than constantly staying busy. • How building small moments of presence into your everyday routine can have a profound impact on your health, relationships and overall well-being. One of the things I loved most about this conversation was Dr. Michelle's reminder that healing isn't about being perfect. It's about becoming more intentional, giving yourself grace along the way, and finding recovery in the small moments that make up your day. I'd love to hear what resonated most with you! My Biggest Health Wake-Up Call Wasn't What I Expected with Dr. Michelle Peris (Part 1)

Delighted to have Dr. Michelle Peris, host of the Wild Medicine podcast, naturopathic doctor, speaker and women’s empowerment advocate, back for another 2-part conversation! In this episode, we dive into the topic of recovery, something that so many high achievers, entrepreneurs and ambitious women quietly struggle with. After recently completing a comprehensive executive health assessment, one thing that became crystal clear to me was working on my recovery and rest! That realization led Dr. Michelle and I into an honest conversation about burnout, nervous system resilience, and why taking care of ourselves isn't something we earn after working hard. It's an essential part of performing and feeling our best. In this episode, we explore: • Why recovery isn't the opposite of productivity, it's what allows you to sustain it. • The role nervous system resilience plays in stress, performance and overall health. • Dr. Michelle's personal burnout journey and the difficult decisions that ultimately changed her life. • Common signs of burnout that are often overlooked, especially by high performers. • How breathwork, presence and simple daily practices can help you respond to stress instead of constantly reacting to it. One of my biggest takeaways from this conversation was the reminder that we don't earn rest after we've exhausted ourselves. Recovery is part of the process, not a reward at the end of it.I'd love to know what resonated most with you! Send me a DM on Instagram @AlliArruda, and be sure to connect with @DrMichellePeris to learn more about her work, breathwork, and the Wild Collective! Stay tuned for part 2 of this chat! (HERE!)
