India with Jessica | Navigating Indian Culture With Love

The India with Jessica podcast has given me a window into Indian life and communication that I have longed for. I am the daughter of a north Indian man and a white American woman from the Midwestern US. I was raised in the Midwest (so Jessica being from here resonates with me) in the 1970’s with very little exposure to Indian customs or language. It’s been intimidating to know where to start planning my first trip to India and Jessica has open so many doors for me to explore! Jessica and Abishek live with intentionality with their children and the podcast content is equally intentional with a wide range of topics. This is a resource worth your time! Thank you, Jessica!

If you are looking for information on how to appreciate and understand the nuanced cultures of India as a non-Indian, look no further! From language to cultural insights to travel stories to elevating unique voices of Indians from a variety of cultural and geographical backgrounds, this is one of the most interesting podcasts I’ve ever found. Plus there’s the YouTube and online content. As someone with many Desi friends and who hopes to remove to the Indian subcontinent soon, this show is invaluable.

I respect Jessica at Invisible India so much. I am also married to an Indian, but live in the US. Several of the circumstances and questions I’ve faced over the last 7 years have been addressed in these podcasts, plus more! I feel so much more informed and equipped on how to handle situations that arise in my immediate family, as well as in our visits to India with extended family and friends. Thank you, Jessica!

I love how Jessica uses her platform to elevate a wide variety of Indian voices, talent, cultural lessons/values, and Southeast Asian resources. I particularly follow the Facebook and Youtube side of things, as I like to see videos of India - being one who has lived in India for 2 1/2 years myself. Invisible India gives me a glimpse into some of the many beautiful complexities and diversity that is India - a land of not just one culture but thousands of subcultures, languages, and peoples. Would love to hear a podcast about how you decide where to travel in India and what planning is like with your family. I particularly enjoyed tbe travel episode from a while back with the Indian couple who travel everywhere as a family and discussed parenting while trotting the globe. I also love your sassy remarks about people who marvel at foreignness in India. Always relatable and good laughs when watching your videos or listening to your podcast.
