Joe Cannon Health

Joe Cannon, MS exercise science, BS chemistry & biology has been helping people sort health facts from fiction since the 1990s. Listening and practicing what l learn from each episode has improved my health and lifestyle in many ways, without paying a ton of $$$. Joe explains everything in lay mans terms so it makes it easy to understand and practice. I highly recommend this health podcast for everyone, especially the episode about 9 exercise benefits. Joe, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us.
The amount Fear

The fixation on rhabdo, something extremely rare, makes it very hard for hypochondriacs like me to even start a workout regimen. Find a new specialty. I also read your book. Please stop telling the story of the 30 sit-ups a day guy. It’s anecdotal and not helpful.
Amazing impact on my life and career!

I first met Joe Cannon at the AAAI Conference in Virginia Alexandria in 2007 when I got certified as a personal trainer. Since then Joe Cannon was an instrumental part of my fitness and wellness career. Whenever I attended AAAI seminars I made sure to attend Joe’s lectures as they are well delivered and always backed up with research and science. I have all of Joe’s books and always recommend them to my members and fellow fitness professionals. Whenever my members ask me about supplements I always refer them to Joe’s website and his books for more information I was very excited when Joe started his podcast which has been part of my Sunday morning routine when I go for a walk. I find these podcasts to be very educational like taking a weekly course at a university. I love how each podcast starts with the myth of the day and my favorite one is the “what weights more muscle or fat”? Each podcast has the necessary information for anyone in the fitness industry. My favorite topic was the podcast about “rhabdomyolysis” as I didn’t know too much about it. Listening to Joe’s podcast is like taking an “upgraded” course with up to date information on everything that relates to health, wellness, and fitness (body physiology, nutrition, supplements, working out). Each podcast is delivered in a fun and clear voice that is easy to understand and always ends on a positive note like “go out and make a difference”. I recommend this podcast to all fitness professionals and anyone who cares about their health and living a healthy life!

He does a great job distilling information about complex body systems, without losing the technical appreciation, and makes it easily understandable. Great resource.
