    Jelly Roll (Pt. II)

    Jelly Roll (Pt. II)

PART 2 with JELLY ROLL! And whoever said sequels are never as good as Part 1 was WRONG.

After a little smoke to kick off Part 2, Ern & Jelly pick up right where they left off. They start by discussing the creation of Ernest's album, "Locals Only," how the "Tropical Cowboy" brand came to be, and Jelly explains the two things he CANNOT STAND about artists. Then they debate the best songwriters in Nashville, Jelly throws some praise at Big Loud, and he tells the legendary story of watching the Music City Miracle from his cell in juvenile hall.

They wrap up the episode with Jelly sharing his favorite books and movies (which brings Ernest to tears), they do a classic Livin La Vida Local segment, Ern tells a story about lighting a lawn on fire, and they share a laugh about an instance where they took "do whatever you want" a little too far.

    Enjoy!

    Jelly Roll (Pt. I)

    Jelly Roll (Pt. I)

This week's guest is a Nashville native, musician, reformed drug dealer, and definitely not a concrete expert: JELLY ROLL

Ern and Jelly kick off the episode with a hilarious story about how Jelly ruined a construction site on his way to the pod. Then, Jelly makes a bold claim about who the new country music outlaws are before remembering his own run-ins with the law. Next, Jelly drops some knowledge on the direction of his music career, why music should never be undervalued, and the importance of celebrating little victories. They close out the episode by sharing stories of their best and worst drug experiences, including an acid-driven adventure in Salt Lake City.

TO BE CONTINUED: Look for Part II next week!

    Lainey Wilson

    Lainey Wilson

This week's guest is a fellow singer/songwriter who has become a mainstay on various "Artists to Watch" lists. She's got a southern accent as pure as they come, knows her away around a farm, and started her hustle performing as a Hannah Montana impersonator: LAINEY WILSON

ERNEST and Lainey start things off by talking about what it was like growing up in small-town Louisiana with a population of 300 people. This leads them to reveal Ern's inability to read a map as well as the beginning of Lainey's performing career as a Hannah Montana look-alike. Then they discuss the time Lainey's "Deddy" (that's southern for "Daddy") found a gun in her Camaro, the early days of Lainey's career in Nashville when she was living in a trailer, and why playing at nursing homes is an extremely high-pressure gig.

After laughs throughout, the two close out the episode with some discussion on Chet Hank's "White Boy Summer" movement and why this guy should definitely not be anyone's spokesperson.

All that and MUCH more. Enjoy your Monday, listenERNs!

    Adam Bobo

    Adam Bobo

This week's guest is the man to call if you're a touring musician, athlete, or just had a few too many drinks last night. He's your favorite athlete's favorite IV guy, he's all about his drip (IV's and fashion), and he's the unofficial Mayor of "It...

Myles Montplaisir (The You Betcha Guy)

Myles Montplaisir (The You Betcha Guy)

This week's guest is a proper Midwest fella hailing from Fargo, North Dakota. He’s a content mastermind, knows his way around a Fleet Farm, and loves a good Busch latte: MYLES MONTPLAISIR (aka the You Betcha guy).

Myles and Ernest discuss the beginning of Myles' career as a content creator, what he used to do before You Betcha, how it came to be, and what he hopes it will become. Then Myles drops some wisdom that blows Ern's mind, they realize something incredible that they have in common, and Ern explores some teenage trauma. Finally, they close out the episode with a trip down memory lane to look at some old college photos, Myles explains what it takes to go viral, and they both test out a new segment.

    HARDY

    HARDY

A good friend, fellow Big Loud artist, and multi-platinum singer-songwriter, today's guest has a recent hole-in-one under his belt, knows how to get high off deet, and has an IV in for about 75% of the episode: HARDY

Hardy and Ern discuss Hardy's recent hole-in-one and whether or not it's really valid (it definitely is), and the two swap their most brutal hangover stories, including what had to be done to cure them. Then Hardy shares a few redneck tales involving a pond, a horse, and getting high off deet. Next, Hardy and Ern discuss their softball league, the ridiculous things they did as kids (like eat jerky chew and huff bonfire smoke), and Ern makes an outfit change mid-pod. Lastly, they close out the episode with a little admiration for the future of Big Loud, introduce a hilarious new segment, and Ern caps things off by seeking redemption against the beer bong.
