In each episode, Patrick Hamilton and Gena Radcliffe unpack all the gory details of horror cinema's least discussed topic: the characters. From Friday the 13th to the Evil Dead franchise and beyond, our mission is to detail each hack, slash, and decapitation in the hopes that a victim's untimely end is just the beginning of the jokes we can make about them.

    Some say “parts is parts,” but those people haven’t watched the 1991 limb-lopping cult classic BODY PARTS!! That’s right, we’re back from our emergency surgery, and Gena is here to give us all the gory details of getting a brand new organ inserted into her mortal coil, which leads us to a deeper examination of Eric Red’s glossy and gory thriller! We experiment with unpredictable stunt sequences, look deeply into Jeff Fahey’s icy-blue peepers for far too long, wonder why none of these accident victims ever manage to wear seat belts in a moving car, and uncover a real-life incident that is weirdly connected to this entirely fictional plot!! All this, plus Night Train To Terror lessons, sketchy research, fishtank torsos, Junkyard Gang turtlenecks, armed surgery, Beastie Boys music videos, sleep strangulation, and replace various parts of Choose Your Own Deathventure!! NOTE: We're so happy that Gena is healthy and on the road to recovery. That said, we may have to alter our release schedule at the last minute for the near future to accommodate her new condition. That’s right, we’re not just taking ghost calls, we’re making them as we dig into the evolution of the film’s lore building, explore the very pointed and relevant Christian messaging within both Black Phone movies, consider the compelling nature of a character’s decency, and discuss what makes an essential Cargill/Derrickson horror flick!! All this, plus cabin rules, Curtains references, potty mouths, stoned snow jogging, skeleton feet, blizzard camps, pot dealer haircuts, sensual dojo dream fights, and a 16mm-filmed version of Choose Your Own Deathventure!! Be warned: it's SPOILERS almost immediately! NOTE: Last week, Gena successfully underwent surgery and received her kidney transplant.
