Kindred is a podcast about our human relationship with animals and nature; how they inspire us, what we learn from them, and how we can advocate for them.
We explore the history of our disconnect to the natural world, how we can repair and restore our relationship with our fellow keystone species and ecosystems, and implement change in order to heal our planet.
Through conversations with scientists, animal advocates, and others, our hope is to offer a platform where we can listen, develop and create a new awareness. Hosted by Kate Coffin and Jenn Asplundh. www.kindredpodcast.co

The Power of Language | A Conversation with Writer & Author Justin Coffin & Our Hosts Kate and Jenn
In this week's episode, Kate and Jenn have an open discussion with writer and author (and brother) Justin Coffin on the history and power of language. We talk about how language is used in science and media and why we think it's important to understand how it can give or take away agency and power and a deeper understanding of animals and nature. We aren't looking to answer questions or issues, but to open up a dialogue about how we speak in order to better support the natural world.

Love
The two hosts are superlative humans ❤️ so much love and curiosity - a refreshing wholistic perspective- seeking connection and conscious awareness of our world and all the beings it- rather than division. And discussing solutions- how a different perspective can spur change. An oasis of thoughtful dialogue with heart. Love
A New Perspective
Thanks for the insightful podcast, lending both an academic and emotional lens to the world of those that came before us simple humans.
Lots of love
I’m so proud of these girls. I have learned something of value from every episode, but I especially loved the efforts of the wolf lady to listen to both sides of the issue and come up with a naturally harmonious solution.
