His work is devoted to treating children with all types of Pediatric Orthopedic conditions and injuries. He has a special interest in neuromuscular disorders, such as cerebral palsy, and limb reconstruction.   After obtaining his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School, Dr. Tabaie trained in Orthopedic Surgery and clinical research at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital. He subsequently completed an advanced fellowship in Pediatric Orthopedics at the Shriners Hospitals for Children - Northern California and UC Davis Health, where he gained expertise in cerebral palsy treatment, child and young adult hip preservation, limb deformity treatment, club foot, and scoliosis. He then showed his dedication to the field of Pediatric Orthopedics by completing a second fellowship at The Royal Children's Hospital, where he gained further experience in the treatment of children with complex limb deformities and cerebral palsy. Dr. Tabaie has presented his research nationally, published scientific articles, and co-authored book chapters. He is a member of the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America, the Limb Reconstruction Society, and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS). Beyond his peers’ recognition, Dr. Rimawi was inducted into the Pi Delta Honor Society for his achievements in his research and his studies.   With those accolades to his name, Dr. Rimawi continued on to a three-year reconstructive foot and ankle surgery residency at DeKalb Medical Center and Jefferson Health. His colleagues and the hospital staff at the latter named him the Podiatric Resident of the Year.  He’s a published author and accomplished lecturer, as well as an associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.     ACL Rehabilitation with Co-founder of The Basketball Doctors, Dr. Marco Lopez, PT DPT CSCS. In the session, we cover ACL injuries – with a focus on ACL rehabilitation to continue our conversation on ACL injuries from our last session with Dr. Jihad Abouali, MD. Listen to an in-depth explanation of ACL rehabilitation, and a brief mechanism of injury breakdown of the recent case of NBA star, Jamal Murray. The Basketball Doctors' mission is to empower the basketball community with evidence-based information relevant to injuries, injury prevention, and rehabilitation, as well as, movement re-training to optimize performance of all skill level athletes. Marco Lopez was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California’s (USC) - Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. Prior to this he also attended USC where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology with an emphasis in Applied Physiology. From 2011 to 2014, he was a Student Athletic Trainer and a Physical Therapy Aide. He worked alongside the USC basketball, football, and volleyball teams. Marco has a strong interest in ACL reconstruction rehab due to his own ACL reconstruction, which occurred in December 2017. Marco currently practices at Beach Cities Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Manhattan Beach, California. Gabe Ignacio was born and raised in the Bay Area in Northern California, and currently resides in Orange County. He played basketball and golf competitively as a child and into high school, and had the opportunity to play on the D1 practice/scout basketball team at the University of the Pacific. Gabe received his Bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine and a minor in Psychology. After completing his undergraduate degree, Gabe entered USC’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy. He is currently the Orthopaedic Surgeon for Rugby Ontario. He previously acted as the Co-Orthopedic Surgeon for the Toronto Argonauts, the Medical Examiner for the Basketball Canada Men’s Senior team, and the Team Orthopaedic Surgeon for Toronto F.C.
