Then we pay tribute to slain Lebanese journalist Amal Khalil, a brilliant and courageous correspondent for the Al-Akhbar newspaper who was killed in an Israeli airstrike yesterday in the town of Al-Tayri. After surviving an initial drone strike on a nearby vehicle, she and her colleague sought shelter in a home. The Israeli military then dropped a bomb directly on that building. It’s being called another targeted assassination of journalists by the Israeli Defense Forces.     Today on Flashpoints: We’ll speak with a Cal State University professor who was arrested and jailed on felony charges in July for an assault on a federal officer using a deadly or dangerous weapon. Dr. Jonathan Caravello was arrested following an ICE raid that led to the death of 57 year-old Jaime Alanis Garcia who was being chased by ICE agents when he fell 30 feet onto concrete.
