Life Notes

Megan Marie

Life Notes is a voice-note–style podcast for thoughtful people in the middle of figuring things out about themselves, their relationships, and what really matters. Hosted by Megan Marie, Life Notes offers short, honest reflections that feel more like a voice memo to a friend than a performance. These are the things that don’t make it to Instagram. The unfiltered thoughts, soft questions, and little bits of clarity that show up while brushing your teeth, walking to the coffee shop, or sitting in the sun. It’s for the ones who feel deeply, who overthink everything, who are learning to trust themselves again. For the ones outgrowing old versions of themselves and soft-launching new ones. For anyone craving a moment of quiet honesty in a loud world. There’s no theme music or polished advice. It's just a place to slow down and listen in. Always raw and always real.

    #37 35's Birthday Reflections

I turned 35 last week and I'm sharing about the unexpected emotions that came with it. A quiet solo trip turned into something deeper and realizing I’ve stepped into a new phase of life. I talk about the pressure of timelines, especially around things like relationships, family, and what we thought life would look like by now. I also share how I’ve learned to celebrate my birthday in a way that actually feels good for me, and why creating your own experiences matters. There's also an honest PSA about boundaries within my platform. What I choose to share publicly and what I keep private and how navigating a life online requires a balance between openness and self-respect. Sponsored By: If you’re in a season of questioning, shifting, or trying to understand what’s next, this is exactly the kind of work I do with my clients. My approach blends counseling and coaching in a way that’s deeply personal, intuitive, and grounded in your real life. We’re not following a rigid structure. We’re looking at you, your patterns, your emotions, your goals, and figuring out what actually needs to shift. This is a space where you can talk openly, process honestly, and get clear on what direction you want to move in. If you’re interested, you can reach out or just book through my website. #36 You Are Not Replaceable, Even If It Feels Like You Are

In this episode, I talk about a concept that has completely shifted the way I see relationships, self-worth, and comparison. It's the idea that you are not replaceable. This is something I had to really work to understand, especially when navigating fear, jealousy, and insecurity in relationships. It’s easy to feel like someone else could take your place or that you’re comparable to the people around you. But when you really look at it, that’s not actually true. I share how I personally started to unpack this idea, why comparison is so misleading, and how understanding your own uniqueness can create a deeper sense of safety and confidence within yourself and in your relationships. This isn’t just about romantic relationships either. It’s about how you see yourself in friendships, in your work, and in the way you move through the world. When you truly believe that you are not replaceable, it changes how you show up in every area of your life. Key Themes: Why you are not replaceable The danger of comparison  Fear, jealousy, and insecurity in relationships How uniqueness creates safety within yourself Building self-worth through understanding who you are Applying this mindset beyond relationships Sponsored by: If this episode resonated with you, this is exactly the kind of work I do inside my counseling practice. A lot of what I talked about here is self-worth, comparison, relationship dynamics, and emotional processing. These things are really hard to navigate on your own. Having someone to talk to who can help you sort through it with clarity makes a huge difference. My work is integrative and personalized. We look at your relationships, your patterns, your emotional world, and how all of it connects so you can actually understand yourself on a deeper level and move forward in a way that feels right. #35 Your Sex Life Is a Reflection of Your Health

This episode is a reflection on how deeply connected our health, relationships, and sex lives really are. I talk about the idea that nothing in our lives exists in isolation. Sleep, nutrition, movement, mental health, and emotional wellbeing all overlap and influence each other. If you’ve ever struggled to stay consistent with taking care of yourself, this is a different way to think about it. Not as another thing you should be doing, but looking from another angle that directly impacts how you feel in your body, relationships, and intimacy. We get into why simple habits matter more than complicated solutions, how wellness doesn’t have to be overwhelming, and why your sex life might actually be one of the most honest reflections of how well you’re caring for yourself.   Key Themes: The connection between sleep, health, and intimacy Why everything in your life overlaps Using your relationship and sex life as motivation The power of simple habits over complicated wellness trends How taking care of yourself impacts how you show up for others Sponsored By: If this episode resonated with you, this is exactly the kind of work I do inside my counseling practice.  I work with clients in a really integrative way. Looking at your relationships, your emotional world, your habits, your health, and how all of it connects. Sometimes it’s not about fixing one thing, it’s about understanding how everything is working together and where you need support. If you’ve been feeling off, disconnected, or like you want a deeper understanding of yourself and your life, this is a space for that. You can reach out to learn more or book a session. I’d love to work with you. #34 Is Your Sexuality Actually Yours?

In this episode, I share the beginning of a project that has been sitting with me for years and is finally ready to take shape. It's more than a project, but the whole idea I have around our intimate self. Not just sexuality, but the deeper connection to who you actually are in your body, your desires, your relationships, and your sense of self. There’s so much noise around what intimacy is supposed to look like, from media to wellness trends to the ways we’ve learned to label and define ourselves. This is about stepping back from all of that and getting more honest answers to what is actually yours. This episode is a starting point for that exploration, and an introduction to a body of work I’m building around intimacy, self-trust, and finding safety and empowerment in your own experience. Read the first article in The Intimate Self. Sponsored by: This episode is supported by my integrative counseling and coaching practice. My work blends coaching, counseling, and wellness to help you reconnect with yourself, understand your patterns, and move through life with more clarity and self-trust. #33 Rethinking Your Habits, Your Phone, and Your Time

In this episode, I talk about the small ways we shape our lives through rituals, routines, and the choices we make every day. From something as simple as changing how I take supplements to how I structure my workouts, it all comes back to making things feel good, so you stick with it. I also get honest about failing to unplug for the weekend, which led into a bigger reflection on our relationship with technology. Instead of strict rules or forcing discipline, I think it’s about understanding why we reach for our phones in the first place and creating more intentional space away from them. This episode is a mix of wellness, honesty, and a reminder that a calmer life is something we slowly build. Supported By: This episode is supported by my integrative counseling. My work blends coaching, counseling, and wellness to help you reconnect with yourself, move through challenges, and build a life that feels aligned. #32 Better Sleep for a Good Sex Life

In this episode, I talk about why sleep might be one of the most overlooked foundations of intimacy, connection, and overall well-being. The conversation around our latest mouth tape launch is deeper, than simply sleep. It's about how the way we care for our bodies, especially through rest, quietly shapes how we show up in our relationships. I share my perspective on sleep as a core pillar of health, how it impacts everything from mood to desire, and why creating intentional evening routines can change not just how you sleep, but how you live and connect. This is an invitation to think about your nights differently. Not just as something to get through, but as something that supports the life and relationships you desire. Key Themes: Sleep is one of the most powerful pillars of health The way you rest directly affects your mood, energy, and relationships Intimacy isn’t separate from wellness Evening routines matter more than just what happens right before bed Small, consistent habits can completely shift how you feel day to day Taking care of yourself allows you to show up better for others Mouth Tape as an analog wellness habit that can have a big impact Sponsored by: This episode is supported by my integrative counseling and coaching practice. My work is a blend of coaching, counseling, and wellness, designed to meet you where you are and help you move forward in a way that feels aligned. #31 You Already Know What You Want. This Is What’s Missing

This episode about one of the many layers I work on with my clients. The work I do with you can be done alone and this is one idea that we work on together- courage and gumption. Both are necessary when we’re growing, changing, and trying to build a life that feels like ours. I talk about the difference between courage and gumption and how they work together. This isn’t about big, loud bravery. It’s about the quiet moments where you choose to listen to yourself, say the thing, take the step, or move toward something that feels uncertain. The life you want is often on the other side of those small, honest, courageous decisions and learning to trust yourself enough to act on them. Key Themes: Courage versus gumption Growth requires both honesty with yourself and willingness to act You can build courage through small, everyday moments Not all courage is loud Fear and anxiety don’t disappear, but courage can grow alongside them The things you’re drawn to are not random. They’re pointing you somewhere Your life changes when you start acting on what you already know Work With Me: If this is the kind of work you’re in right now, I offer integrative counseling and coaching that helps you sort through all of it. My approach is personal, flexible, and built around you. We look at your life as a whole and work through layers to piece it back together in a way that feels aligned and honest. #30 Living Cleaner Without Overcomplicating Your Life

This episode is a mix of something simple and something deeper. I share a bit about my recent love for sourdough and how small, grounding habits like making bread can reconnect us to community, care, and intention in everyday life. I get into non-toxic living and what that looks like for me, but also in a way that you can take inspiration from if you're starting from the beginning.  I talk about what it means to live a lower-toxin lifestyle, why it matters for your health, and how to begin without trying to change everything at once. This is about simplifying, not adding more. It’s about making small, thoughtful shifts that support your body, your home, and your overall well-being. Key Themes: Non-toxic living doesn’t have to be overwhelming Small changes over time create a meaningful lifestyle shift Simplicity often leads to better health and less consumption Many “clean” products are marketing, not better for you Supporting hormones and long term health Work With Me: If you’re in a season where you’re trying to take better care of yourself, whether physically, emotionally, or just overall that is the work I do with my clients.  My work blends life, health, relationships, and self-trust into a personalized approach that’s built around you.
