As sensitive souls, we experience pain (loss, rejection, exhaustion) deeply. However, the intense emotional burden we feel comes not from the pain itself, but from our internal resistance to reality—the clash with our ideals. We idealists often fight against “what is,” which only serves to multiply our discomfort. We can't control the painful events, but we can learn the practice of acceptance to reduce the resistance variable.
