    We The People? Do you lose the first amendment as a cop?

    Who protects the public when the people inside the agency are afraid to speak? I dive into one of the biggest threats to accountability in modern policing: silencing deputies. When deputies fear discipline, retaliation, or termination for speaking out about misconduct, unconstitutional policies, poor leadership, or public safety concerns, the public loses its most valuable source of information—the people who actually wear the badge every day. When only the administration controls the message, they control the narrative.
