    If That’s What It Takes

    If That’s What It Takes

In this sermon from Daniel 4, Pastor Jeff challenges us to reassess our priorities. Are we building our own fleeting kingdoms, or are we investing in the eternal kingdom of God? Will we stubbornly cling to our own version of truth, or will we surrender to the undeniable truth of God's Word?

In the end, the choice is clear: God's kingdom surpasses all others, His glory is unmatched, and His grace is freely offered to those who seek it. Let us, therefore, align ourselves with His dominion, give Him the glory He deserves, and live accountably in His presence.

Even when we think we are, or when we desire to be, in charge of our lives, it is God who is unequaled in ruling those whom He has created.

    Shifting But Not Bowing

    Shifting But Not Bowing

Using truths from Daniel 3 and the story of the Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace, Pastor Anthony explores what it means to stand firm in your faith no matter what.

When you stand on the truth of God, you will not drift with the tides of culture.

    I Have Decided

    I Have Decided

Set against the backdrop of Babylonian captivity around 600 years before Jesus, Daniel faces immense pressure to conform to the new culture imposed upon him. Despite being taken captive to Babylon and experiencing drastic changes in his surroundings, language, and customs, Daniel remains steadfast in his faith and devotion to God.
Through Daniel's example, we're encouraged to remain steadfast in our faith amidst changing cultural norms and pressures. The Christian must maintain their character and integrity in the face of adversity, trusting in God's guidance and providence to navigate through life's challenges.

    The takeaways:
-Don’t let your circumstances change your view of God. Let God change your view of your circumstances.
-Refuse to allow your culture to rewrite your character.

Easter - The King Has One More Move

In the midst of life's challenges and uncertainties, we are reminded that the King still has one more move. Just as He intervened throughout history—whether through the parting of seas, the deliverance from lions' dens, or the victory over death itself—so too does He offer hope and redemption to each of us today.

Regardless of where you find yourself in your own story, the invitation remains open—to turn towards Jesus Christ, the author of life, and experience the power of His resurrection. Palm Sunday Reactions

    Palm Sunday Reactions

In this message on Palm Sunday, Pastor Jeff explores the reactions of people during the arrival of Jesus in Jerusalem: the Creator of the Universe, riding humbly on a donkey into the dusty streets of Jerusalem.

As we look further into the accounts of those who witnessed this event, we find a spectrum of responses that resonate even today. Some reacted with indifference and even hostility, unable to acknowledge the significance of Jesus' presence. These are the ones who cling to rituals and the status quo, missing the heart of God amidst their religious practices.

Then there were those who celebrated with great joy. They laid palm branches, shouted "Hosanna," and eagerly welcomed Jesus into their midst. Their hearts were filled with anticipation and readiness to encounter the living God.

Finally, there were those who asked, "Who is this?" They were curious, or unaware of the true identity of Jesus. Despite their ignorance, there was a glimmer of hope in their question.

As we reflect on these responses, we must examine our own hearts. Are we indifferent to Jesus' presence, consumed by routine and tradition? Or do we joyfully celebrate His arrival, eager to encounter Him afresh? Perhaps we're still asking, "Who is this?" If so, let's seek to know Him more deeply.

Regardless of our initial reaction, there's an invitation for all of us: to turn to Jesus, to worship Him with exuberance, and to seek a deeper understanding of who He truly is.

    Flippant Curiosity

    Flippant Curiosity

In this Encounter with Jesus, we look deeper into Jesus’ encounters with Herod and Pilate during His arrest and trials. Jesus, accused by the Jewish leaders of blasphemy and treason, stood before both the Sanhedrin and Pilate with unwavering silence.

The accusations hurled at Jesus, particularly the charge of blasphemy, held significant weight in the eyes of the Jewish high priest and the Sanhedrin, who held substantial influence over the Jewish community. Yet, Jesus' refusal to engage in their accusations left Pilate astonished.

The silence of Jesus in ths moment carries profound implications for Christians today. In a world where the truth of Scripture is often watered down to appease societal norms, it is crucial to stand firm on the foundational truths of the Gospel, even when they clash with prevailing cultural ideologies.

In the silence of Jesus throughout His trials, it’s not weakness on display, but strength and divine purpose. His silent submission to suffering ultimately paved the way for humanity's salvation through His sacrificial death on the cross!
