I also gave up coffee for Lent (46 days!)—and surprisingly… I didn’t miss it. I'm committed to living with less noise. Less pressure. More clarity, health, and peace. Do I want/need more money… or just more life? What does a meaningful day actually look like?   I’m not quite retired… but I’m no longer interested in hustle culture. I’m choosing to live a slower, more intentional life—one that prioritizes peace, presence, and what actually matters.     I’ve been calling this chapter my Cavewoman Chronicles —a return to simplicity, intuition, and a more grounded way of living. This channel is evolving into something more real, more honest. You’ll see my life as it’s happening—not perfectly packaged, but authentically lived and experienced. After my dad passed, I started noticing something important: many of the feelings that surfaced weren’t just grief—they were stories I had been telling myself for years. I’m sharing a year of my life that cracked me wide open — aging parents, my 29-year-old daughter’s cancer diagnosis, hospitalizations, assisted living, falls, a stem cell transplant, moving my dad in with us, and ultimately walking him home peacefully. And through it all? Guilt. Decades of it. Not visiting enough.Not helping enough.Not asking enough questions.Not being enough. The “shoulds” we quietly stack on ourselves as women. On Lower Toxic Life, we talk about reducing inflammation in the body. But chronic guilt, resentment, repression, and overwhelm are inflammatory too. They don’t just live in the mind — they live in the nervous system.     Healing With Meat: My First Year on Carnivore

    ✨ One year ago, I thought I was eating all the “superfoods” — leafy greens, nuts, seeds, sweet potatoes, berries — only to discover they were loaded with oxalates that were slowly wrecking my health. On September 1, 2024 I started easing into Carnivore (more like keto at first). By February 2025, I went all-in, meat-based. What happened next? Oxalate dumping hit hard — painful crystals stored in my joints, skin, and tissues started to release. It was rough, but it was also the breakthrough I needed. Over this year I’ve: 🥩 Cleared brain fog and gained steady energy 💪 Healed joint pain and inflammation (except during oxalate dumping phases) 🏋️‍♀️ Regained muscle strength and consistency in the gym 🍳 Simplified my kitchen — two meals a day, no cravings, no food noise 💰 Saved money ditching expensive produce, powders, and “health” foods A huge turning point for me was attending the Steak and Butter Gang meetup in Montana. Being surrounded by like-minded people who understand this lifestyle was truly life-changing.
